    No, they are not.

They didn't predict the rebirth of Israel.

There are different. They have the ability to predict but they are not God because they didn't plan their prediction.
The reborn of Israel is God's plan, it is a mircle for a country being destroyed for over 1800 years and rebuild. It is a mircle and a plan from God, not just simply a prediction.

I don't really understand. You only believe part of the Bible?

No, this is very rare for a country totally destroyed, all the people either killed or went exiled, then, re-capture their country again.

Greek did not lose their country.

And yes and no, The American Empire will end but will not be reborn. That is in the bible too.

So what their predictions are even more difficult. The Israel prediction is not even really a prediction. Israel had been conquored and rose up many times previous. Saying it would happen again "Gods wrath" and so forth is nothing special.

Getting date right ! Now that would be something special but the Bible does not do this.

I don't really understand. You only believe part of the Bible?

Absolutely they did .. at least according to my History prof when I took Ancient Greek and Roman history.

Folks read all kinds of things into the Bible. Some stuff I actually believe may be inspired.

Do you think the American Empire is the "Devil" described in revelations ?

Atra Hasis texts. The ancient stories of the Sumerians.

That is what the average Sumerian 5000 years ago believed about their origins.

I think it did in the book of Daniel 9:24-26:

24 "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.

25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

No one Greek was left in Greece like Israel?

What stuff in the bible inspire you?

I think America is the mystery Babylon. From the book of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Matthew, Revelation, the scriptures match America very well, except one, the blood of the saints, but it could only mean it has not happened yet, if the government keep going where it is going, slowly destroy the constitution, take away our rights, it may eventually happen.

Ok, then if it’s not the Bible then it has no credibility in this matter.

    I am reading this:
    http://faculty.gvsu.edu/websterm/Atrahasi.htm
    The story of Atrahasis

I laugh so hard. If the "gods" here were the ancient aliens, then, they were quite stupid.

They had to dig out the canals, clear channels, dug out the Tigris river bed .....
and they waited 3,600 years to complain and went on strike.

After 1200 years the population has increased so much that Enlil has trouble sleeping....

"The country was as noisy as a bellowing bull
The God grew restless at their racket,
Enlil had to listen to their noise.
    He addressed the great gods,
'The noise of mankind has become too much,
I am losing sleep over their racket.
Give the order that surrupu-disease shall break out"

    The story is certainly entaining.

It also contain their hybrid bleeding experimation.

What do you mean? Who is being fool here?

And yes, satan is master of deception, therefore he and his demons disguise themselves as aliens to deceive people since the ancient time.

The ones who believe that spirit can mate with human female. The ones who believe in aliens from other planets. The ones who look for the truth of God outside the Bible.

    Outside the Bible?

    Read the Genesis again.

The sons of God came down and married the daughters of men and produce their offsprings, that's the primary reason God had to flood the world.

How many times do I and other posters have to repeat?

And I am telling you again......it does not say came down. You are reading what is not there. Show me chapter and verse where it says, "the sons of God came down?"

If they didn't come down, how did they come to the earth? Fly up?

What's so difficult to understand the scriptures?

Just because there are no actually word of "came down", does not mean they didn't come to the earth.

The point of the scripture is to tell us that there were fallen angels came to the earth and married the daughters of men.

You are asuming that just because it says sons of God it means spirits......but in the same Bible human beings are called sons of God.

    Hosea 1:10 (ASV)
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

    Psalms 82:6 (BBE)
6 I said, You are gods; all of you are the sons of the Most High:

    Luke 3:38 (ASV)
38 the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

Angels or human can be sons of God. But that scripture obviously refer to the angels, the fallen angels.

People have reported that they have seen flying saucers but it always turns out to be manmade. There are always people who are desperate to believe in aliens from other planets, and there are always those who are willing to provide a hoax to fuel their belief.

Misled you are right. I believe the Bible is a historical document that is accurate and reliable. No book has been checked out…historically, culturally, scientifically….geographically etc…like the Bible has…it has been done on both sides of the fence those who are believers and those who are not. Its not only a historical account of the history of the Jews but other ancient civilizations as well. And an account of early Christianity. The bible shows like you suggest MisLed…information on cultures, customs, ethics and the different languages that they spoke. I think that from manuscript discoveries like the Dead Sea Scrolls…we have undeniable evidence that todays scriptures for all practical purposes is exactly as it was written and inspired by God.

You mention archeology…specifically so let me add this. Archeology has over the past hundred years alone…verified many events, lost cities and customs in the OT. They have discovered that these were not myths…but real. The Edla tablets come to mind first off. These proved that a written language existed at least 1,000 years before Moses…which proved that Moses was the most likely author of the Pentateuch.
Archeology has proven much more…that I can think of offhand….that Jericho and several other ancient cities that are mentioned in the OT really did exist. they have found them firsthand. That the Hittite civilization did really exist before the time of Abraham.

The bible is much much more than people give it credit for.
