To be clear: "antifa" is an adjective. Not a group.

    Read the OP

    What anarchists?

    From your definition:
Which one of those autonomous groups are you referring to?

    Again: who is "they"?

Its called accuracy. My grandad was an 'anti-fascist' fighter. He was therefore an 'antifa' fighter. That you can't grasp the correct use of vocabulary does not interest me.

Nobody ever called American soldiers fighting the Germans in WWII Antifa. That's 1) a ridiculously stupid claim and 2) an insult to them to compare them to a violent domestic terrorist group.

Antifa just means anti-fascist. Our servicemen were anti-fascist. That is just factual.

Of course we can go further. My grandad was the first person to refer me to the Battle of Cable Street. As modern day antifa still look back at that event as an example of success, he was also an antifa historian.

Now of course, despite the fact that the majority of terrorism in the US derives from right wing groups, its valid to talk about left wing terrorism. But to call antifa, as a movement, terrorist is particularly dark humour. Logically, that can only be true in a fascist society....

It doesn't matter what it means, it is a fascist domestic terrorist group commiting acts of violence all over the country. They are not anti-fascist despite their name, they are fascists. Stop comparing them, a violent loosely organized mobs to UNIFORMED FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN WHO BRAVELY SERVED THEIR COUNTRY IN THE ARMED SERVICES IN A WORLD WAR.

Sounds like you've accepted that the US is fascist. That's sad.

Antifa matters everywhere else. The fight against fascism continues. We would be doing those who fought on the D Day beaches a disservice otherwise...

Sounds to me like someone is a fascist Anti-American because they support Antifa, the violent anti-American fascist terrorist group.

I know my country is not fascist. It's the greatest country in history. It is a republic.

I'm not interested in you trying to flamebait me.

The lack of logic is unfortunate. Its also sad to see so many Americans buy into the silliness that antifa is fascist. Its gobbledygook that has only allowed fascism in the US go unchecked.

Our WW2 heroes knew better, fortunately.

It is a dangerous group with a name derived from an adjective.

It is a title certain groups go under while attempting to force their beliefs onto others. There are many other terms that describe those flying under the antifa title.

    Facists
    Arsonists
    Terrorists
    Rioters
    Looters
    Mamma's little basement dweller!

Or would they be disgusted by right wingers who attack anti-fascists? My grandad certainly would.

    So antifascists are fascists?

That's hilarious.... Winner of the most ridiculous post of the thread. Congrats....

And a perfect illustration of how there are cases in which propaganda can erase any vestige of logic and rational thought.

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

And which disinfectant was Trump talking about that would "literally" be injected into people?

Based on their actions, yes. When you force your beliefs onto others, you can't honestly claim to oppose fascism. Interesting that you refer to them as a group now!

UV light. The Dr mentioning to him in the discussion was probably referring to low levels of UV-c and other R&D stuff that we could funnel money in.

Inject UV light? God! You're digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole. So let's go by parts. He spoke about UV light, and he spoke about disinfectant. Two different things. You said a disinfectant could be injected. What disinfectant was he referring to?

And, just in case you want to check, before you answer, what he actually said, here it is...

The uv light is the disinfectant he was referring to.

No! Listen to what he says. He talks about two different things. You messed up! You can just correct yourself, and maintain your respectability as a poster. But doubling down on the nonsense is the option that will only make you look bad.

Now... about the UV light, he said "tremendous" and "very powerful light". If you apply a very powerful light to a person, you might kill the coronavirus.... but you'll kill the patient first. Even before that they'll probably get a very bad cancer. So how do you "inject" (through an injection... not "insertion"... .you said injection!) UV light?

I'm not sure but I don't have access to the people he does. There are chemicals that can emmit various wavelengths either by absorption of energy or through chemical reactions. Although I'm not aware of a chemical that is nontoxic that can emitt the light they need, it does not mean some company or government research facility isn't working on one.
