To be clear: "antifa" is an adjective. Not a group.

There are many that say the same about communism... Do you buy into that extremist conspiracy theory nonsense as well?

Careful when take up an extremist position, that is how the crazy people gain control every single time. They capitalize on any reason to hate and fear.

European tendencies to give over control to monarchs and dictators are not prevalent in our history. Quite the opposite, we rebel from such.

Well perhaps you should inform the OP, as that is what this thread is about.

Their historic cause may be just in your part of the world, but what they are doing here is more akin to anarchy and terrorism. They are not "fighting fascism" by aiding in turning Portland and other liberal cities into war zones.

Communism ultimately can only be delivered through qualitative reaction to evolutionary economic change. Completely different.

The far right are on the march. Thats not just in the US. There are multiple examples in Europe and South America, often aided by international funding resource. Now you might want to mess about in rose tinted glasses. That's your perogative. But, as we know, historically that's tiresomely predictable.

Sometimes I wonder how Americans find socks to wear in the morning. It surely can't be foresight.

Antifa is just a catch-all term for the riot rats that are running around looting, burning, and destroying.

Is it okay with you if 'Antifa' is used that way, or are you upset that it'll hurt somebody's feelings if 'Antifa' is used that way? If Antifa isn't a group, as you insist, then I don't see how anybody would be offended if the riot rats are called Antifa.

Speaking of Antifa, they of their riot rat ilk have taken to marching through suburban neighborhoods of Portland, and threatening any residents they see flying an American flag. They warn the homeowners to take down the flags, or they threaten to come back and set mostly peaceful fire to their houses.

Some would call that left wing domestic terrorism, while some consider it "a more confrontational approach".

I'm merely referring to the reality. Antifa are not a group. They're multiple groups only united by their understanding of the Popperian paradox of the tolerance. Its perfectly valid to question that paradox, but to make up guff about a group only shows a lack of insight and arguably a blinkered following of Trump trash talk.

Yep, they're a pack of riot rats. We can all agree on that.

Of course I can! I can definitely affirm beyond any reasonable doubt that, when you wrote the post I responded to, you didn't know what the word "anarchist" means.

We can know a lot about what people know or don't know by what they write. This is the reason for my sig.

If that is what you choose to believe then go for it.
