Then why don't they stay in Africa and make their continent a better place ? The US has no obligation to let everyone/anyone into the country. I don't care what race/ethnicity someone is - but when I see the instability and chaos in the Middle East and Africa, it seems logical to halt immigration from there until they prove they can bring to America some valuable culture.

 

India is full of crime, poverty, and disease, But you dont mind us bringing immigrants from there.

LOL sorry, you're not gonna compare India to Africa or the Middle East - not even close.
The economy is booming in India, tech industry is at high levels, India is a nuclear country and a good ally to the US - on par with Israel.
I have no issues with immigrants from India or Israel coming here.

By all measurements, India is one of those countries Trump was talking about during the immigration debate.

 

180 out of 1 billion is 18 percent. While way too high, it is not Africa level poor. That being said, India is doing well to develop as is Africa. I honestly have no issues with African immigrants coming here - they are bright and work harder than most.

I would rather, though, the US spend money helping to develop other nations rather than just taking the best from overseas all the time. The world has shrunk since the 80's. There's no excuse for the type of culture and poverty we are seeing in parts of India, Africa, and the Middle East.

 

These days? Name one time in our history where the primary immigrants coming here were high skilled workers.

 

saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and doing quite well.

Syria was doing well before we started supporting the civil war.

Lebanon was doing fine.

Jordan is fine.

Iraq was fine before we invaded.

Iran is fine.
