5 billion will not secure the border. 70 billion will most likely not even build a full wall and then they can still swim around or go through checkpoints.

 

Some people are not that fortunate.
They expect a recurring paycheck and budget accordingly. If you have saved 5 grand you are not living paycheck to paycheck, that is the opposite of that phrase.

If you are trying to say there is no way to stop most of the illegal aliens coming in, and there will be more in the future, given the conditions south of our border, then open up the border and let this nation collapse. Turn it into what those people are fleeing. But that is not the nation that most sane americans want. And so we must do something to fix this problem. If all of the poor south of us are allowed in to the US, that is utter insanity. And saying we cannot stop the flow and fix the problem is just as insane. I didn't have to read any farther than the first bank to find "Colorado's Alpine Bank has set aside $5 million to help furloughed workers. If you can prove you're an unpaid federal employee, you can get an interest-free loan the same day you apply."

we do not have anything even remotely resembling illegals pouring into this country. A wall on the southern border will have no statistical effect on illegal immigration. Most illegals come here legally, and over stay their visas.

It's what the lower level people working in the private sector do, suck it up -- and they have little chance of another paycheck from their employer.

The credit unions and banks here are backing the furloughed federal employees -- they know the money is going to be there and the employee can get paid by the bank, and the bank gets repaid when the big delayed check that is certain comes in. No interest or 1% interest, you can't beat that deal.

Wonder why MSM does not report that.
