    he's twisting facts...
try this, lets say hillary won the election with her 65 million votes (most popular) would you have been happy, excited or would you both still be saying things such as, she only got 65 million votes while 71 million people voted against her...

remember this, more people voted against her than for her...

being dishonest is just that, dishonest... and that will never get ya any respect from me...

Just like slavery, just because it is law — it does not make it just.
Weighting votes due to their geographical location — especially in the amounts that we do — is unjust.

I voted against her so I would probably be saying the same thing. Would you have been happy had trump won by 7 million votes and still lost to Hillary because Texas surprisingly flipped blue?

Or would you be saying, yeh, this is fine.
    She’s still your president!
Presidents shouldn’t have to comply with congress!
    Witch hunt!
It’s perfectly fine for tax payers to be paying for her to have a spa visit every week in Hawaii!
Whats the issue with her renting out her properties to secret service and foreign nationals!

Remember, being dishonest is just that, dishonest... and that will never get ya any respect from me...

Seeing that I couldn’t legally vote then and was more focused on football practice than politics I don’t see your point — besides that you are old?
Also the electoral college is currently skewed by laws passed in congress that altered its purpose. I am sure you are fine with those though...

Never said it would did I? You love your strawman arguments don’t ya?

A simple congressional congressional rule change would make it much more representative however.

i've never spoke out against the electoral college, it is the best tool we have to keep this republic... unlike many of your ilk that disparage the duly elected and those that voted for him, and cry foul while demanding we change our constitution just because you hated the outcome...

It is ONLY a Shapshot, 11 Months out.

Way too early for Trumpies to be doing backflips.

    A lot can change.

Btw--I KNEW that poll looked familiar...

Rasmussen is, at best, an outlier. At worse it is just a little sweetened kool aid for the Trump base served by FOX. If Trump and clan take comfort from this, it isn't problematical for me. The more Kool Aid of denial drunk by Trump and his band the better.

Way to respond to my post champ.
If you cannot respond with integrity feel free not to respond at all

You mentioned respect, still at zero — well deserved!

And for the record — my “ilk” will have to stand on their own as I only speak for myself — I mostly agree with the EC (necessary evil) I completely disagree with voter suppression efforts, House Reapportionment, electoral fraud, voter fraud and the election interference that you and your ilk seem to have endorsed so heavily.

There's only one poll that counts. And elections have consequences.

Like the House elections for example... thus impeachment.
I agree, they definitely have consequences

If Trumps approval is reported as being 50% that means it is actually 90%. These polls tend to be a little off these days.

So if a Dem wins in 2020 you will accept that he or she has a mandate to pursue Dem policies? Like, for example, dismantle republican policies, eliminate gerrymandering, ensure voter rights and institute a national healthcare system?

Trump’s poll numbers are exceptional, and not in a good way.

Compare his numbers to any other recent president. His numbers for approval and disapproval are remarkably flat. Other presidents’ numbers swung way up and down depending on events. Trump’s don’t.

That means he has a solid base that will stick with him no matter what. But it also means that he doesn’t have a lot of room to convince voters to vote for him. More than any other recent president, he has a very small pool of potential swing voters. The only way that works for him is because he has such a strong cult-of-personality base that will never desert him.

More like an ACTUAL "Approval" of between 30 and 35%.

The Dem Card is uninspiring - Bernie being the exception but - his age is a factor and I think his wave has passed - an opportunity stolen by the crooked obnoxious one and the Dem Establishment.

Joe is probably the best shot for Blue at this point. I can't see Warren or Pete being the next President.

This one I would have voted for :)

By far the most important message - stop regime change wars - one the Establishment really hates.

"You can't take away our toys Tulsi - no no no - we like our toys and are going to keep them" !! "and the good citizens of America want us to keep them" - "because we have brainwashed them into thinking these toys are for their benefit"

This is one of the premier "necessary illusions" of our time - and you don't want to be messing with those - or you get spanked !
