What do you believe will happen when the interest rate on your debt goes up by even a few percentage points? Of when the next recession hits? 200% debt to GDP... Interest payments that eclipse dozens of other items in your budget?

I've always seen Trump as a product of the American people's discontent with Washington, the political and cultural elites in this country and all the bullshit associated with both of them (political correctness, etc.). Unlike all the other candidates, he is president today because he saw the anti-establishment fever that was running through this country in 2016, embraced the people expressing it, and then he rode that popular tsunami all the way to the White House. Contrast that with who he ran against - a corrupt Washington insider who embodied everything Trump was running against.

People like to think it's all about Trump, but it's not - it's about the people who elected him. Furthermore, he knows that and his supporters know he knows that, which is why he's packing in auditoriums full of enthusiastic people while the other candidates are throwing slumber parties in small half-empty halls. You have to be blind not to see what's going on there and I think that's what is driving much of the Democrats' desperation heading into 2020.

I agree. The overreach of the left is why he was elected. I live in California, and can see the results of living under a Dem super majority. Our taxes are among the highest while our schools rank among the lowest, our roads are crumbling, and we are the poverty capitol of the US. If high taxes created a thriving society, I would be a Democrat.

The people you need to be lecturing are your comrades who refuse to acknowledge the fact that our government has a spending problem and support socialist lunatics who want to enact Big Government energy and healthcare power grabs that will cost over $125 trillion on top of all our existing entitlement programs, national debt and unfunded future liabilities. They're hauling in all the rope "progressive" bullshit artists like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can hand them and if and when the **** does hit the fan, they are going to be the ones who really get hurt because they depended on government instead of themselves.

It's wonderful that people like you are willing to pay lip service to the symptoms of what is ailing our country but you're never willing to even address the underlying problems producing those symptoms. It's the same way with guns and gun violence, and it's why none of those problems ever get solved.

I'm the last person you need to pretend to worry about. I've worked all my life to ensure that if the economy collapses and our social safety nets fail, I have the land, natural resources and tools to survive, but the "progressive" Chicken Littles in San Francisco and New York who can only squawk about Trump won't, because they've been blind and unprepared their entire lives.
