Ironic since you are ok with weighting taxes in a progressive system.

Your math teacher would be disappointed then. The total number that voted against trump is 72,519,874 (and that doesn’t include write in votes). Maybe get a new calculator?

Well, you must be disappointed that the only number that matters is 304.

I wonder if Bucky's math teacher knows that moral victories are for losers...

So we are not even allowed to discuss the percentage of voters anymore. You know you are desperate when you have to ignore simple data sets. The thread is about percentage of voters — I don’t see you whining about that...

    How is that ironic?

It is ironic that you are for weighting voters by geographic location but not by income?

This thread is about President Trump and his rising approval numbers. Why are you trying to discuss votes in an election he won back in 2016?

Because the political Left has got nothing? They are impeaching Trump because they KNOW that without extreme 'help' none of the current three Dem Party front runners stand a chance of defeating Trump in toe to toe debates and confrontations. Hillary would tear them to pieces and Trump tore HER to pieces despite the MSM colluding with her to cheat.

In my opinion, if Trump wins it will be an acknowledgement that the voters in, and of, the heartland will understand that they have more power than the media will admit that they have.

After all, what can the folks in Hollywood do other than start to directly admonish half of the voting public.

Everyone already knows they have more power than other Americans when it comes to both the Senate and the Presidency. A vote in WY is worth almost five votes in NY.

Visions of Rachel Maddow saying before the election that there were no paths for Trump to be able to win.

It wasn't like he just picked off one state in the Midwest. Ohio and Iowa were the only states that were supposed to be in play. Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were supposedly out of reach.

It was a regional mandate and quite a significant one as well.

Less than 80k votes spread across three states isn’t a mandate.
But when the situation is reversed I hope you have the integrity to retain your position.

Sadly, Trump is an accurate reflection of Americans. The average American lacks respect for those with opposing views, is unwilling to engage in polite discussion, and feels their beliefs should be forced onto others.

Dems want to force workers to pay more taxes, take guns from law abiding citizens, put more people on pharm products (Far more deadly than guns) etc.
Reps want to force religious beliefs onto gay people, pregnant mothers, and throw people in prison for smoking a plant Etc.

Looking at both sides of this ugly coin, Trump comes out as the lesser of evils.

    Epic strawman.

I never said or asserted that you or anyone else aren't allowed to discuss the percentage of voters. You're free to revel in your moral victories to your heart's content, but try not to get bent out of shape when people point out that the only numbers that matter are 45 and 304.

It's like Hall of Fame 49ers QB Steve Young once said - statistics are for idiots - and by that he meant there is only one number that matters: how many Super Bowls you win. He doesn't care about his gaudy career passer rating of 96.8 or his 33,124 yards passing and his 4239 rushing yards - all he cares about is this:

    WINNING 1 NFL Championship.

As a known Right-winger who rarely misses an opportunity to goad the hell out of the Left when we catch them trying to pull corrupt schemes like "the great Russia collusion" or "the great Brett Kavanaugh assassination attempt", I hope to surprise you liberals by telling you that it is distinctly possible that quite a number of us 'knuckle-draggers' on the Right don't even approve of a number of KEY things that Trump has been pushing hard! WHAT? How can that be?! Aren't we all supposed to be in 'lock-step'...?

I've never approved of the way that Trump has handled the whole 'illegal alien' thing or that damned "Wall" thing, either! We have not (NOT) gotten rid of illegal aliens, and we have not gotten Mexico to pay for the damned "Wall" -- and it is highly unlikely that we ever will.

Moreover, Trump's incessant yammering about his desire for the Federal Reserve to crush interest rates down to zero -- OR INTO NEGATIVE TERRITORY -- is absolutely bewildering! He seems determined to destroy every single savings account that responsible Americans have been building, especially after the debacle of "the Great Recession" when so many people lost their asses fooling around with Wall Street 'casinos'. It is especially counter-intuitive when personal debt is sky-high and climbing and demand for CASH is acute!

So, why do I support Trump is this "Ukraine/impeachment" thing? Because it is the legitimate function of the president to investigate criminal activity and blatant CORRUPTION in any of our entanglements with foreign countries! Moreover, Trump did not withhold any funding for Ukraine's billionaire oligarchs beyond the stipulated deadline (our wonderous Democrat-dominated House wouldn't tolerate that!). And, Trump didn't extend or take any BRIBES, either (no matter what the Democrats were broadcasting a couple of weeks ago).

If Democrats were in ANY way honest or trustworthy in their 'investigation' of our dealings with Ukraine, they'd take a least a few moments to focus on the MOUNT EVEREST of corruption that took place there -- with ol' Geriatric Joe Biden, his cocaine-huffing kid who'd been thrown out of the Navy Reserves, the Ukrainian oligarchs, and that masterful "son of a bitch" ploy that Joe bragged about to the world, after he pulled off the only real 'quid pro quo' stunt that the United States got involved with, because of JOE!

So, there you have it, Lefties! You want to get us on the Right to join you in an attempt to throw Trump out of office? Start with something that isn't completely saturated with manipulated, deceptive BULLSHIT and focus on facts -- not fantasy! :spin:
