You really shouldn't be posting in a thread about the Saudis when you obviously know nothing about them. Educate yourself. They bomb civilians in Yemen for trying to end their authoritarian regime. They have a religion police. They don't allow women to drive. People don't have any democratic freedoms. So ignorant.

I lived in Arabia for two decades and have met Salman, Abdullah, Nayef, young deputy crown prince and all the senior princesses.

KSA has never ruled Yemen.. There are very few religious police .. none at all in the Eastern province, Jubail or Yanbu.. nor down in Asir. The Saudis consider the muttaween to be pests.

You won't learn anything about KSA from wiki.

 

It is not the same. Orthodox Jews will not eat Halal. As for Trump's daughter and son-in-law, what difference does it make with these two are hypocrites anyway.

Actually there is LESS government interference than we have in the US. Women have plenty of rights. They just don't drive except in the desert in compounds and university campuses.

Yeah, they have many beautiful bowling allies in Arabia and some within the compounds. I wouldn't expect to bowl on a state visit.

 

Under Saudi law all females must have a male guardian and are not allowed to travel without permission from their guardian. They also need permission for marriage and divorce, education, and opening a bank account, and some surgeries.
