I suspect the cartels have already hired plenty of gringos, and they have the resources to hire armies of them if we send troops down there.

 

While Islamic extremists and Mexican cartels share some similarities, they're different beast with different motivations.

 

I have an acquaintance, Guatemalan migrant, his description of Mexican is Dirty, corrupt people.. I laugh, he wont even allow his children (6) to even play with them and he runs their ass's off anytime they come around.. Part of the reason I laugh at some of these PF racist threads here

 

You must not know much about Latin Americans... Not the most motivated people. It's like saying the same about African nations. Sure there are some industrious folks in there, but for the most part a very idle lot.

I think it is easy and cheap. The cartels' capacity to run surveillance on officials they need would almost certainly make the FBI green with envy. Find the corruption - own the crook.

 

They are mostly Christians in Mexico more familiar with the outside world so that would make a big difference. They know the American people, not just the military.

 

Reports are coming out that these are Mormon Fundamentalists, which have virtually nothing to do with the LDS Church (normal Mormons). Which means they are into polygamy and other less than acceptable practices by today's norms. I wonder if this will affect the response? Nah.... Trump is likely looking for a reason to smash some Drug Cartel members. I expect bad things for their future.

if the cartel operators were that smart they wouldn't have to use so much violence. Wouldn't underestimate them but wouldn't overestimate them either.

That's the rough plan but it needs to be more finely tuned.

The first thing would be to deny them their major facilities. Blow those up and cut out large portions of their cash flow.

Sending arms to Mexico has already been done by the BHO Admin and led to the death of a border guard.

 

They will adjust, and they will have inside intelligence about our operations and strategy.
