That's because it has been a policing war and not a military war. Or we can do nothing.

Thats why we need to use CIA and special forces. Set them loose and lets see what happens.

Then again in regards to Mexico, it's the height of leftist "DO NOTHING" history.. They simply ignore things that are to difficult and take some sacrifice.. They just wait for someone like Trump to do the difficult thing and they pretend like they are against it but actually love it as if gives them one of their most favorite things to do, "COMPLAIN" ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

That works both ways and doubt the Cartels have the sophisticated hardware the US Military does. They are not a well educated group, just violent.

No. Don't be a johnny do nothing defeatist. China once had this problem and solved it, otherwise they would all still be hooked on opium. Cut off the head of the snake!

Sure, but this wouldn't be the first time the US military fought this type of conflict.

You'd still have to starve their ability to make money, just as we did with the JV team.

Much easier to crack down on demand.

Yeah but that's playing defense, and how would you go about it?

I mean that's what we've been doing for decades and it hasn't worked out so well.

We do not punish users. Start caning and releasing them and demand will drop like a rock.

Drug users, as opposed to traffickers are easy to find and arrest.

It would knock out one of their major revenue streams.

Yes we can, but that formula works for them too. See Afghanistan/Vietnam.

Sitting back and watching thousands of innocent people be murdered, when we have the means to do something is unbelievably selfish.

Bro, a serious heroin addict will kill their own mothers to get drug money.

Caning them isn't going to stop addiction.

    Look how they live.

What could be worse punishment than that?

By decriminalization of all drugs and tax payer funded rehabilitation of course!

How the hell do you think they handled it? Not by having mamby pamby liberal tickle parties and safe spaces...

I could tell you stories Rudy Martinez shared with me after half a fifth of Wild Turkey 101.. Involves Iraq captives and a black and decker drill, knee caps and finally ear drums!

Ya, he lives with that 24/7!

We needed to drive ISIS out of specific easily identified oil fields. Where is the source of the drugs traded by the cartels?
Are there substitute sources of supply?
