So we let them slaughter Americans or they will slaughter more?

I don’t agree that it made us more fragile. I don’t think that we can ever truly win against terror, or drug cartels, but we can definitely lose. It is like dealing with pest insects on crops. You will likely never truly eradicate them, but if you do not constantly fight them, they will overwhelm your crops, and you starve to death.

If we did not fight the war on terror, and if we do not fight these cartels when they kill our citizens, then things will go to **** as they see they can strike us without fear of retaliation.

Only the dead have seen the end of war. It’s not going away. Ever.

Then we better treat them all like terrorists and start killing them, ruthlessly. Yes, Americans will die. It is war now, whether or not it is declared. We better kill them faster and more efficiently than they kill us. That is the only way we can minimize American casualties.

I have been saying for 30 years we should send the military to wipe the cartels out, with or without the permission of the Mexican government, yes I said with or without. If you had a neighbor that was tossing beers over your fence and your 7 year old was slugging them down, would you ask your neighbor for permission to then ask for permission to then maybe do something about it? And, if they said no we don't want to upset the beer chucker, then ONLY a democrat would allow those beers to keep flying over the fence. This Republican would jump the fence and break some arms. Problem solved.

Most Americans are very opposed to war now - the politicians have noticed.
A big bounty on the heads of the killers might work well in Mexico - the drug business stimulates the spirit of independent enterprise.

One of the most asinine and lack of knowledgeable comments I've seen in some time. The Cartel does NOT use the semi auto versions of long rifles we sell here. They use fully automatic weapons and grenade launchers, trip mines, plastic explosives and IED's.

 

it isn't economically sound to end drugs... hospitals, doctors, dea, local narcotics divisions, heck even auto repair/body shops, paper/plastics/foil industries, pharmaceutical companies, advertisers, all benefit from the drug trade... worse would be all the madd mothers having nothing to be mad at (husbands/dads would become their focal point again...
