Sorry the message sucked as much as the movie did.

Once they rigged the firing of the driver, they became the parasites, then the maid, criminal parasites. I felt zero empathy for the criminals and that's exactly what they were.

It WAS better than shape of water, if that helps, but just barely.

Anyway, if you thought it didnt suck that's your right, but on a scale of 1-10, this gets a 3, and that's being nice.

I gave it about a 5.8.... watchable and interesting once, but nothing I have any desire to see again...

Ranks up there with Shakespeare in Love. Not worth watching twice. And it beat Saving Private Ryan that year which will be watched and remembered forever. Moonlight is the same. Barely could get through it once. Any movie that the vast majority would barely watch once much less over and over again, NEVER deserve best picture.

I would say rarely, since I never say never....:???:

But I see your Moonlight (I've never seen) and raise you...... Slumdog Millionaire...

    Yawn-o-rama....

But 2008 was quite probably the worst slate of movies ever presented for Best Pic... I KNOW I've seen all 5 of these and couldn't tell you one thing about them other than Brad Pitt was Benjamin Button...

it was a slow year. SlumDog was the best of that really weak group. Worth seeing once but never again. Never would have won crap if it had any competition.
