Really? The average person who is relatively well balanced doesn't commit suicide because something went horribly wrong one day. While there is PTSD that drives some military veterans to chose that exit, there is no comparison between the two.

Military personnel are under a great deal more stress on a daily basis then then Capitol Police. Perhaps because the Capitol Police haven't had to actually deal with events or warfare, they have no ability to process it. That doesn't mean the event is at fault, as some try to paint it as.

I've said it before, but to clarify, the whole mess didn't have to happen except some people are idiots. There will always be idiots, and people who accept positions where idiots flock, need to adjust to that fact.

 

I know more than I ever wanted to know about people who have considered, and some who have committed suicide. No comment was made about their sanity - one can be depressed without being insane. Attempting to dismiss other people based on what you believe is not good form for any type of discussion.

Since you don't know my political position, other than it doesn't mirror your own, you really shouldn't be making statements about judgements.

 

If capitol police have less ability to process violent conflict than the military, then why wouldn't you consider that the riot likely was a factor in the 4 suicides, especially given the statistical evidence which very clearly points towards that conclusion?

If you are now saying you were not referring to the entire group, you owe “the left” an apology.

Ex-presidents traditionally leave the spotlight to a large degree, and let the new administration get on with things. If Trump did the same, I think you'd find that rather quickly he'd be mentioned much less. But I'd put the chances of that happening at about zero.
