This story was planned before President Trump even met with the Russians. That is how fake news rolls.

The leaks came from one or both of those organizations - or the Russians. The leakers broke the law just as the leaker of Gen Flynn's name broke the law.

Well if you want it said accurately, Trump himself confirmed that he bragged about classified information which was to impress his new friends. Meanwhile, the Russians no doubt passed on no classified information to him in return. Trump is a dangerous person to have as a President - his image is more important to him than his country.

Did you catch the latest turd polishing by McMasters?
He claimed that Trump couldn't have revealed anything serious because he didn't even know where the intel that he was sharing had come from.
Lol...Just because he's too stupid to know what he's talking about won't stop a sharp operative from gleaning the source of the information and compromise or endanger the source.
Who the hell does McMasters think he's kidding with this sort of lame dodge?
I guess that he's already sold out to keep his job.
And he was supposed to be one of the few adults in Trump's kakistocracy.

LOL. No spin necessary. It's on you to a) prove the information was "top secret" or b) that the president is precluded by law from classifying or declassifying any information at his discretion, and c) that you have factual documentation of the conversation in the room that would suggest that either a or b are necessary to quantify in the first place. You're simply parroting a now discredited story the WAPO rushed to publish without taking the editorial time to evaluate just how stupid this now makes them look to the public, and supports the now list of public stories they will now have to recant because they factually got the facts wrong, and are unable to verify. SO, the only folks spinning here are folks like you who have nothing but baseless assertions you continue to write in public.

Again, he didn't. He never "confirmed" that he "bragged about "classified information" or his intent to impress his guests. At least be honest enough to note that those are your characterizations, and aren't in any way attributable to the President. Kind of like, well, you made it up. Like an intentional public statement published to effect harm against the subject of the composition. Would you agree?

So? Is your post somehow a defense of Trump by Trump telling the Russians that ISIS are dangerous as if they did not already know this. If that is the case, those Russians must be thinking who is this idiot!

LMAO, McMasters stated no sources or methods were ever divulged. So just how do you get he endangered the source? NBC's source validates McMasters and Dina Powell.

Tell NBC to out their source. You know leak us that name.

H.R. McMaster Blasts Leakers: ‘National Security Is Put at Risk’

President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster criticized the intelligence community for leaking information about the president’s communications with the Russians.
“I think national security is put at risk by this leak and by leaks like this,” he said. “And there are a number of instances where this has occurred and I think it’s important to investigate these sort of things.”

McMaster defended the president’s decision to share intelligence about Islamic State terrorists with Russian diplomats during a meeting in the Oval Office last week.

Despite growing Democratic and media hysteria over the leaked information about Trump’s decision, McMaster reassured Americans that it was “wholly appropriate.”

He explained that Trump shared information about ISIS plots to attack airplane flights, pointing out that terrorists had already bombed a flight in October 2015 with over 200 Russians on board.

“This was the context of the conversation in which it was wholly appropriate to share what the threat was as a basis for common action and coordination,” McMaster said.

He denied that Trump revealed the source of the information, pointing out that he didn’t know where it came from.

“He wasn’t briefed on the source or method of the information,” he said.

Whats quite amusing is that WAPO and the other leftists sources start out about Trump Leaked Classified Info.....but then take the story into Firing Comey Last Week. Which each of their Leftists sources droning on and on about Comey and what Trump did with Comey.

Yet if all of this was about just Trump leaking Classified Info. Then there would be no reason to bring up Comey and all the rehash of the Russian Investigation.

Clearly the leftness shows us the Trump Tunnelvison they are stuck in.

How can a leak about a meeting discussing "much ado about nothing" and old news put National Security at Risk?

So Trump just blurts out things that he has no idea of the background?

I'd say it's worse than that. They seem to believe that it's necessary to "control" the news cycles now. As in, only their (MSM) narrative, and no other, irrespective of what the actual news is, or might be. WAPO was enflamed yesterday, the comments sections had more dembots on it that I've seen engaged since the elections. Seems the DNC is hiring again...LOL. In any event, having that many bots seems preplanned in response to their story. How would the DNC have known to have all those bots on line to support the story? Interesting questions. Perhaps someone should subpoena their connection server logs and ferret out who those bots belonged to. NSA doesn't seem to be doing much these days....LOL

They are focused on the talking point and not the real issue. Trump knows his base's narrow tunnel vision.

    Yup.

One thing we know -- we know exactly who was in the meeting -- is that these "current and former officials" were not in the meeting. The second thing we know is that "former officials" would be "former Obama administration officials."

So, rewriting the lede with this, we have: "President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador, as reported by unnamed sources who were Obama administration officials, and who were not present at the meeting."

"He did not reveal the specific intelligence-gathering method, but he described how the Islamic State was pursuing elements of a specific plot and how much harm such an attack could cause under varying circumstances." according to former Obama Officials, who were not at the meeting.

So... these anonymous sources were so alarmed about what Trump told the Russians that they immediately got in touch with Washington Post reporters and ... revealed the same information to them?

    And you unquestioningly swallow this?

This looks like one of those classic WaPo snipe hunts: someone anonymously, breathlessly, tells a story to a reporter; the reporter runs with it solely on the basis of these anonymous and untrustworthy sources. The reporter gets responses from the usual suspects. Then it's denied by multiple sources on the record.

    You're too easy!

Uhh... you are the one hawking fables from former Obama Administration Officials about "leaks" they claim occurred at a meeting they did not attend, and these leaks they claim were so highly damaging? They promptly leaked to the Washington Post!
