    Politics is considered the oldest profession. The other profession considered the oldest is similar to what we are seeing here. On one side, images of crying children are being used to manipulate the easily manipulated. Get people shaking their fists in disgust and they will follow.

    The truth is that people only care up to the point of having to actually having to do something.

    Heres the deal: Detention centers are no place for children, so in order to keep these families together, we need volunteers to house these families while they are being processed. Watch how many put their fists down and walk away!

    There was a bill that MCCain and one of those Democratic guys coonsored after Trump said to bring him a bill of love. That bill contained the $25 billion with a B for his wall but Trump pissed on the bill. So Trump does not want to solve the problem.

    Really? You think Honduras will track the locations of those seeking asylum in American and failing?

    Where the heck do you get these ideas of yours?

    Besides, there is no money or plan on the US side to make an attempt at reunification.

    I REALLY do not like this "I'm sure it will all work out" attitude when it comes to humanitarian crimes.

    You need to document your claims.

    Remember, Trump explicitly ordered what is happening. And, that included NOTHING related to how families would be treated - in reunification, in courts where they must argue for asylum, or in ANY other phase.

    So, sorry, your "it will be OK" is just plain more Republican BS.

    You have NO CLUE how much progress can be made at rectifying this humanitarian atrocity, given that it was the US President who WANTED it and the Republican majority who support it.

    Well, there is NO plan for that and NO dollars for that.

    Plus, it is an international issue, because we carry out deportation orders separately - not as family units.

    How would you propose tracking poverty level asylum seekers in some foreign country?

    Beyond that, there are the other issues of the impact of separation, jail conditions, and the fact that children are required to face the courts alone.

    Tell me how a 5 year old could successfully make a claim of asylum when he/she doesn't even know what his/her parents faced or why they came?

    Remember, we deport these children if they lose in immigration court. So, how are their parents to find them?
