    I do respect your objection to the policy.

    However, I see NO evidence that this administration is going to take the significant actions necessary to reunite families that they have broken up due to the separate court decisions made on separate family members.

    Even officials admit that an important percentage of these separations are likely to be permanent as tracking people in a foreign country is not easy, especially when those in question are in desperate circumstance and quite possibly in fear of that government. Plus, it's not clear what has happened to children that have been deported.

    There are even claims that deported older children have been facilitated by labor traffickers.

    I responded, because I'm far from ready to accept this point as likely to be resolved. Ever.

    I don't think that Trump or any politician wants their fingerprints on this PR hot potato.
    In addition to the kids, I feel sorry for the people who are immediately in charge of caring for thousands of crying, young children.

    To be clear, I don't think the thought even got to Obama himself, he would have shot it down immediately. It was something looked at very, very briefly by some departments in the administration. They quickly came to the conclusion it was inhumane. On the other hand, Trump was all for this inhumane policy, before the negative reaction was just too much to handle. Meanwhile Stephen Miller is probably still throwing up in a washroom somewhere........

    Never in the history of this nation have all surviving First Ladies, including the immigrant wife of the man being held responsible, been so unified and unanimous in their displeasure over an American government policy.

    Here is the truth boys and girls:

    Our so called POTUS , DJT , tried to use these kids as a "bargaining chip" and help them ( the kids) hostage while he planned to use those kids as a cudgel to pound the Democratic Boys and Girls upon their heads and shoulders until the Dems agreed to find his wall. Yes that same wall that he swore Mexico would pay for.

    The policy of separating illegal immigrant children from their illegal immigrant adult has been around since the late 90's.

    Clinton, Bush and Obama did the same.

    You are attributing our improving economy to Obama. I suppose recovery is not possible unless things are bad, so I guess I can see your point. I will say that the pharm industry did enjoy record profits under Obama. Never mind that the US is fatter and sicker than ever.

    Obama ordered his cyber security coordinator to stand down with his plans to stop Russian cyber attacks into our election, back in the summer of 2016.

    You are the one making stuff up. The policy may have been on the books but Trump is the one who practiced it. There is a diference between having a policy on the books and putting it in practice.

    The policy of separation of families was not enforced with the ferverish pitch that it was under Trump if it was at all before Trump.
