Trump's military put into perspective

It still takes time. It requires deciding to do it. Designing it. Approving the design. Constructing tooling. Arranging subcontractors. Obtaining raw materials and finally construction which itself likely takes months. I have worked in the aerospace business. There are some things you simply cannot speed up. Especially in these days when they are so sophisticated.

So, provide all this proof that China can do it that quickly.

After I retired from the Air Force, where I understood the procurement process, I worked for a couple of aerospace companies and then retired again. I have up close and personal knowledge and know what it takes to get a sophisticated piece of equipment into production and out into the field.

Show me where in the department of defense intelligence that China surpassed the US because of Trump. They have been working on it for many decades.

 

They implemented new defense strategies in 2015, since then they have gotten stronger and more developed. trump has aided in that with trade wars that have give them more money.

Yes they have gotten stronger in the past five years. Obviously started before Trump took office.

They have been working on their current combat readiness for 4 years my man. Not sure why you are blind to their capabilities

You also for some reason keep saying decades. I get it America is way to slow in weapon development and combat readiness. We need to get our act together and implement faster more efficient strategies. But just because we are slow doesn't mean everyone else is. Wake up

 

Trump took office 1 year later. You can't be serious right now. Trump has says he is so tough on China but 2019 was their biggest year in development and weapon creation. You are not worth my time anymore

 

And yet, Democrats repeatedly tell us we need to cut military spending.

 

The chinese have been developing their military tech for quite some time now. Its mostly stolen tech, implemented rather crudely, but they still have it. Not sure what a chinese military buildup in progress for the last 20+ years has to do with Trump exactly. Unless this is just another Trump bashing thread, which is clearly the only intent. We still have way better tech than china, any day of the week.

 

And even with all those ships, they have no blue-water capacity to project force.
