Ukraine ready to investigate Biden's son if Trump makes official request

There is a procedure for that. Either in a deposition for a lawsuit, or if Biden is charged with a crime and decides to testify in his own defense. If Barr has evidence that Biden committed a crime, he should arrest him. However cooking up a scheme to pressure a foreign leader to investigate or prosecute them is not proper conduct for a US President.

 

How about interview with FBI agents and federal prosecutors. And the US and Ukraine cooperating into a corruption investigation is what leaders discuss.

 

Ok so you strongly want Ukraine to try and investigate Corruption the Biden 's may have committed in Ukraine and are you just as strong in your desire to investigate corruption by the Trump administration by American prosecutors? In my way of thinking that would be fair don't you think.

 

I believe that there are statutes prohibiting a sitting President from ordering the AG to investigate his political opponents. In addition, the results of an investigation was released earlier this year suggesting that foreign governments acted to undermine our election process by spreading false news about one candidate in order to promote the candidate they preferred. This was clearly and extensively detailed in Mueller report which was triggered by Trump’s own DOJ. Immediately after that report was released, Trump and Guiliani and possibly Barr began to attempt to cajole a foreign leader to dig up dirt on his likely opponent by withholding military support until they got him to do their bidding. Trump and Guiliani acted recklessly and illegally in this matter and it is plain to see. My guess is that Trump will be impeached later this year and possibly removed once the American people are aware of what a sleazebags he is and the GOP Senators start to grow a set of balls and quit covering for him and his idiotic antics. I guess we shall see.

 

Acting recklessly is an absolute. Criminality will be very very hard to proove.
