He was visibly armed. The cop had every right to shoot.

    Good kill.

Two shots fired, one hit at a moving target at close to the maximum effective range of the pistol.

    Obvious good combat marksmanship training.

The link you just responded to cited that "80% of police are overweight".

Why would you expect me to "back up a claim" that is common knowledge?

You are aware that the desert contains sand?

    Correct?

Do you actually expect me to post a link to "back that up"?I

Oh, and back on topic, all that these Murderous Cops need is to Bribe the D.A. and make things go away.

No. Being armed is not cause for use of deadly force

It does if you've already committed a crime, fleeing from police, and refusing to drop your weapon.

exactly, everyone would try to flee if there was no danger to it... the old "stop or I will shoot" was to keep people from fleeing

Interesting to see you paint cops with a broad stroke. Isn't that what racists do?

doesn't have to be, as long as shooting him wont endanger anyone around them, the stop or I will shoot is to prevent future people from trying to flee cops

That only applies to fleeing felons or people who otherwise pose a lethal threat by running. Otherwise, shooting someone over a swiped candy bar is excessive force.

when a person runs from the cops, they risk their own lives imo, as that shows they are a danger to the public

To encourage the others is not a legally allowed justification for use of deadly force by a police officer or other civilian.

The fleeing felon rule only allows shooting someone fleeing a felony, who the officer knows to be armed AND who presents a continuing imminent threat to the public.

There is some evidence that the BB gun was planted. That would be open and shut misconduct of a seriously egregious nature. It'd make this a murder with malice aforethought.

Good thing your opinion is not the law. See fleeing felon rule.

Even adding them all up doesn't represent even half of all sworn personal. Unless you're simpky saying that police rapes do happen.

I am saying that indeed they do happen, since I was responding to a poster claiming he was not aware of ANY police rapes.

If criminals know all they have to do is RUN, because they know the cops won't shoot and won't pursue, its OPEN SEASON on the public. What's the penalty for robbing and murdering people if you can run away from any crime? The DANGER is that by not eliminating the filth from society, they can't DO IT AGAIN!!!

So these scumbags are always a danger and threat. Who care's if the threat is immediate or tomorrow night when they do it again. THEY deserve to die. And yes, if you break into my car, your life means about as much to me as an ant. You're a waste of skin.

The only thing that should stop cops from shooting is an immediate threat to innocent bystanders. Otherwise, bang, bang please.

yes it is, don't flee, don't get shot, running into tragic is horrific too, don't do it or one might get run over

why would not everyone try to flee if there was nothing a cop could do about it, may as well try it if not consequences

in the movies cops always pull their guns and say "STOP, or I will shoot", people stop.... most people just know that
