    Or outright bible-thumpin' creationism. Proud and stupid is their motto. That, too, is in the Bible:

    For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness";

    and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."
    1 Corinthians 3:19-20

    And these people attack school boards for teaching science and not "teaching the controversy," and establish and send their children to religious schools, if not homeschool them. Being the land of the free, we're the land of freedumb.

    You actually think I care what you believe ?? But noted that you have no actual interest in the true life expectancy data on this condition.

    I'm not questioning the occurrence of birth defects that make a baby non-viable. I understand the situation.

    From your link:

    “Do we wait until 17 or 18 weeks when all the testing is exhausted to find that we have a situation on our hands where the only options are to medically terminate our baby;

    My question relates to termination at the moment before birth, or as some have inferred, the moments after birth.

    Same as we do with terminal cancer

    We ensure there is no pain and allow nature to take its course

    Also done in cases where there are no deformities at all and the fetus is very viable. According to the governor, when they are viable and made comfortable in the other room, they can be aborted.

    You are aware there is discussion to pass legislation to allow just that.

    Hey, I'm all in favor of free-market capitalism. The premise that, "It's OUR bodies!" is one I fully support. It's their bodies, it's their blobs-of-tissue -- they can sell it for body-parts, throw it in the trashcan, or take it home and cook it up for dinner. And if they can make a few thousand bucks to churn out these fetuses, babies, or whatever, then maybe it would get them off welfare. What can you possibly object to about THAT...?

    Surely you don't deny that orgs like Planned Parenthood were caught working up plans to sell fetal tissues? That has been proven conclusively to anyone with a triple-digit IQ.... Fine! Let PP make a billion bucks fronting body parts... it's no skin off my nose....

    And it would not be new legislation

    Plenty of other countries have this without it degenerating into wholesale slaughter

    Or do you want every non viable baby kept alive almost indefinitely?

    How much did it cost to keep baby K alive

    And again you demonstrate your lack of care about the truth. What is your understanding of the life expectancy statistical distribution ???

    Tell me

    Would you be in favour of someone donating the organs of an anencephalic infant? (That is a baby born without most of the brain?

    And who decides whose life is ended ?? Does the infant who may live for 10 years during which medical breakthroughs might occur have a voice ??

    Actually, outside of abortion when the life of the mother is at stake, abortion of the type, and in the time frame being proposed, is not common around the world.

    http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/10/06/how-abortion-is-regulated-around-the-world/

    About a quarter of the countries in the analysis (50 countries, or 26%) only allow abortions to save the life of the mother. An additional 82 nations (42%) allow abortions when the mother’s life is at risk as well as for at least one other specific reason, such as to preserve a woman’s physical or mental health, in cases of rape or incest, because of fetal impairment or for social or economic reasons. And three-in-ten countries (58) allow abortions on request or for any reason, although many of these states do not allow women to terminate their pregnancies after a certain point (e.g., 20 weeks).

    But in not doing your homework or simply posting the life expectancy data according to you reveal a non interest in the truth.

    So the article says. The statute does not. No requirements for ANY defects. If giving birth merely impairs the womans mental health, she can have an abortion at any time.

    Yeeeee!

    Perinatal depression ranges from mild to life threatening

    And again where in the world has this come to fruition?
