Gotta be impressed with the dems in general for their sheer arrogance. Once a political party and it's members decide the ends justify the means, having NO ETHICS is so justified as to be completely guilt free. This goes back many decades with them.
The dems use voter fraud as standard operating procedure.

Case in point: ACORN's voter registration drives were legendary for fraud, with people being TOLD they could register multiple times.
People have admitted they did this.

And of course the Wisconsin state dem party is resisting all attempts to clean up this fraud.

No wonder the dems DON'T want voter ID laws passed.

Is this how you want a political party to operate? If you do, then you're prolly one of them - corrupt democrats.

Union labor accounts for about 7%....and falls roughly within the 20% liberal/leftist voting demographic.

Hardly enough to seat representatives, or affect changes in policy...
without fraudulently "pumping up" their numbers and importance.

This comes as no surprise to anyone. Walker will not be voted out.

Its how they got Stewart Smally into office. Why should they stop now?

Walker I'm not worried about at all as long as the dead don't come voting.

Don't ask...you may not want to hear the answer to that one. Union thugs are capable of almost anything. Remember what Jimmy Hoffa said about taking those SOB's out.

Clearly not reported by the left, though - obviously.

And you haven't been paying attention to sources that actually do report these fraudulent activities...

Oh, so dem voter fraud is a lie? LOL, Honey, if attacking the source is all you have....don't even try.

What is with the people on the left in this forum who continually deny it despite continued cases of it being posted? Are they all brain damaged??? (Not you, of course, TaraAnne, you're just mistaken.) :omfg:

Do you have any questions, TaraAnne? I certainly hope you're not one of those leftists that stick to your claims even when they're definitively proven false. You're not of that type, are you?

I just hope the Wisconson voters are smart enough to stop the commie union machine. Btw, Tex, I'm submitting your avatar as the coolest and most appropriate one this forum has ever seen. Good job!

There is no better example of voter fraud than Al Franken getting elected in MN.

Voter fraud has been going on since Boss Tweed.

    So let's look at this.

Your Wisconsin list, for example, cites *6* reports of possible voter irregularities in 2010.

Most of those involved submitting fraudulent voter-registration applications -- a crime that doesn't actually involve fraudulent voting. And is unlikely to, since such applications are regularly uncovered in the application review process. And voter ID laws wouldn't catch this.

There were a handful of cases where convicted felons voted, either knowingly or not, and a couple of others where people voted twice. Voter ID laws wouldn't catch this, either.

All told, 2010 saw a whopping 7 people accused of actual voting fraud in Wisconsin. NONE of the cited cases would have been prevented with a Voter ID law.

So conservatives/Republicans point to this list, then propose a solution that DOES NOTHING TO ADDRESS CASES SUCH AS THE ONES THEY CITE, and is likely to keep thousands of people from casting ballots.

And then they wonder why people think they're either a) stupid or b) attempting to disenfranchise voters.

Voter registration fraud is part of Voter Fraud and against the law just the same. The implication is getting more people than legal to vote. Since it is so easy, as proven lately, that voting can be done illegally, the laws do not "catch" voter fraud but only convict if caught. Voter ID will help as it will not allow someone to vote in someone else's place.

And the rest of the cases don't count because they were in earlier years????? And asking a voter to present actual ID as to WHO they are is disenfranchising? They cannot live a normal life in the US without proof of ID. Why is it a big deal to show ID when voting?

My question is how many of these cases were actually convicted of voter fruad? Seems that number isnt anywhere in your post because it doesnt happen a whole lot.

Also with the Walker recall how many of these people were supporters of Walker? Seems that part was left out as well. Seems there is atleast two confirmed instances. With all the outside money coming in from the Koch brothers only one could guess. Then again straying from facts is the Republican way as we have seen time and time again

Yes. But it's not evidence of anyone actually voting illegally.

Yes, but boards of elections verify new voter applications. I have yet to hear of a case where fraudulent registrations were submitted as part of an effort to get extra votes. Every case I've heard of has involved someone making up registrations in order to meet some quota set by the organization doing the registering. And quite often those organizations -- which do some verifications of their own -- flag improper registrations themselves.

Lots of illegal things are easy to do. It's not so easy to avoid getting caught afterward.

Yep -- just like practically every other law.

That's a problem that nobody has shown to be an actual problem. If it were widespread, you'd expect to have hundreds if not thousands of complaints where somebody went to vote and discovered someone had already voted in their name. I have not heard *one* such case. There might be some out there, but they are vanishingly rare.

It's certainly not such a problem that we should embrace a solution that disenfrancishes thousands of voters. That's a cure that's worse than the disease.

What's important is the per-year number, as that's the number of improper votes affecting any given election. Cases from 2005 are relevant to the 2005 election cycle, but not to the 2010 election cycle.

Statistics show that millions of eligible voters do not have photo IDs. AARP opposes such laws because seniors are especially hard hit by them:
    http://www.aarp.org/politics-societ...012/voter-id-laws-impact-older-americans.html

Nearly one in five citizens over 65 — about 8 million — lacks a current, government-issued photo ID, a 2006 Brennan Center study found. Most people prove their eligibility to vote with a driver's license, but people over 65 often give up their license and don't replace it with the state-issued ID that some states offer non-driving residents. People over 65 also are more likely to lack birth certificates because they were born before recording births was standard procedure.

Strict new photo ID laws could make voting this year more difficult for 3.2 million voters in Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, if the new laws stand, according to the Brennan Center.

Late last month, the Justice Department rejected South Carolina's law for discriminating against minority voters, who it said were nearly 20 percent less likely than white voters to have a government-issued photo ID. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) said she would seek to have the ruling overturned.

So whatever you think is "normal", there are millions of people who do not have photo IDs, and for many of them getting such an ID can be a hardship.

It's telling that while voter-ID supporters have been unable to come up with examples of actual voter fraud that Voter ID would have prevented, we already have mutliple examples of voters being disenfranchised by voter ID laws.
