It is not one person in two parts.. these two zygotes go on to be 2 born humans .. not one. Is not nature that decides .. it is the twinkle in daddy's eye that decides. I suppose we could call every human act an act of nature ..but then any action could then be justified on the basis of "human nature" ..and as such a really bad idea.
Twins are one possibility .. there are others.. The point here .. is that those two zygotes .. are not one person.. in fact . the genome has yet to be set .. what part of .. there is no difference between the parent zygote .. and the two clone offspring .. are you not understanding ? what part of .. each of these "daugher cells" .. are independent of each other .. and can independently create a new human .. do you not get ? 2 zygotes --- call it 2 totipotent human cells if you want to get more technical. .. and they are not one person .. in fact .. not a single cell from a person exists at this point . Do you understand this -- not a single cell exists from any person .. consruction of the human has not yet begun .. not a single brick has been laid ..
Neither end up as a baby .. they end up in the placenta .. disgarded. .. They may both end up working on the same project .. but not really as they .. as was the parent .. are gone .. and then you have 4 workers up to around 200 or so.. 200 totipotent cells .. each individually capable of creaing a new human.. but in this case working on just the one. These cells form a hollow sack called a blastocyst . . then they start spitting out Differentiated and specialized cells .. and it is these cells that form the human .. starting out as the embryoblast.
You were given in depth context ... so much so that it is pointless to continue .. not that I didn't expect we would reach this point but, alas I must be a sucker for punishment.
Yes of course - destroyed by the barrage of brilliant questions and deductions - the likes of which the world - has never seen before !
Good guess .. but not really the best word . .. something a little more descriptive would be the project to create a human. An even better description would be that in this cell .. the program codes for "Creation of a human" have been activated.
That on this project - after the first mitotic division - there are two workers not one .. and after work .. each will go home to sleep in different bed.. be it the project be creation of one human or 10 .... If you are religions you can look at it as emanations from the godhead .. each with 1) the ability to create the human - encoded in its DNA -2) has the program codes turned on - has that ability activated. These workers have not yet started creating the human - and it has not yet been determined how many will be created (wierd but the genome is not yet complete until 14 days - so there is not yet a Genetic Unity until then) and I think this brings us to the central question - which I will leave to you .. as this is a religious/philosophical question - something science has not answered .. and so anyone claiming Science says .. is not in command of the facts - although Science is part of the Philosophical asertions- on many sides of the fence .. so best place you can come to from a position of "Science" is "Experts Disagree" When along the journey does the Soul arrive ?
Indeed I do .. go over to the religious section sometime - speak at length about my thoughts on the issue ... but this is not about my beliefs .. this is about yours.. When along the Journy do you think the soul arrives .. or perhaps you don't believe in such a thing .
OK .. so one soul conception .. although there is no actual moment .. sometime while the zygote is still around. So when the zygote has children .. such that now we have 2 zygotes .. is there one soul or two .. and if only one .. which of the two does the soul reside .. zygote A .. or B ?
