4.2 % GDP is another Trump mess? Total denial of reality which is typical of liberalism.

as a liberal how on earth could you possibly know that?? If you have a primary source to prove it's true I will pay you $10,000? Do you want to make a legally binding bet? In fact, Jefferson's and Madison's Party was called the Republican Party when it was formed in 1793 to stand for limited govt.

As a liberal how could you possibly know that? Please give us some examples or admit it was a preposterous lie.

Jefferson was for extremely limited govt. This is the opposite of what liberals want and this is why liberals hate Jefferson. Now do you understand?

Actually Jefferson and Hamilton were mortal enemies in different political parties (Republican , Federalist respectively). As a liberal you should probably read and ask questions but not make assertions.

We find ourselves exactly as the Greeks did. The Aristotlians (Republicans, conservatives) were for freedom and against govt while the Platonists (Democrats, liberals) were for govt and against freedom.

You mean commonly referred to by liberal historians who wish to hide the truth from you, namely, that Jefferson and Madison formed it in 1793, called it the Republican Party and it stood for freedom from govt exactly like modern Republican party. Mixing Democrat in name implies that modern Democratic ideas had something to do with founding when in reality they came from Marx not from anywhere near the USA's founding idea of freedom from govt. Do you understand?

Why?? Jefferson and Madison hated govt and loved freedom from govt exactly like modern Republicans!!

Here are some quotes from Jefferson to get you the basics on American founding ideas:

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.

"The path we have to pursue[when Jefferson was President ] is so quiet that we have nothing scarcely to propose to our Legislature."

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground.

not a tiny bit!! the only significant issue we have always faced is freedom versus govt. Aristotle and our Founders concluded govt had been the source of evil in human history and thus gifted to us a Constitution designed to keep govt very very limited. Since then , as always, the battle has been between those who support freedom or limited govt and those who oppose!! Do you understand now??

they are for ever bigger govt!! Here's a quote from Jefferson to help you with the basics!
notice how freedom or liberty and govt are presented as opposites

    Thomas Jefferson:
"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground".

Everyone knows that Republicans fought bitterly to stop the Affordable Care Act. Even now, nearly two years into Trump's first term, was the Affordable Care Act repealed and replaced as Republicans have been screaming for? The four promises Trump made a priority to reform in 2018 were health care, infrastructure, welfare and immigration. He did give a healthy tax cut to the super-rich and big corporations so I suppose that counts for tax reform. But, what about the others, health care, immigration, welfare and infrastructure. That's a big zero, nothing at all other than separate families from their children and lose them in the red tape that they can't unravel.

If there is a quotation going around and no one knows the source, they will probably attribute it to Thomas Jefferson. Or so it seems. You are quoting Thomas Jefferson which cannot be validated as actually being said by Jefferson.

This is the best known of the doubtful Jefferson Quotes. It's best known source is as the opening quote in Henry David Thoreau's Civil Disobedience of the year 1849. The quote, in full, is:
"That government is best which governs least."

No, that's not correct, not even close. Republicans had historically been fiscally conservative and climate deniers.

No that's not true at all, not even close. Trump has been controlling his minions in Congress through whatever means, I suppose it's a fear of his wrath and influence with Russia's big money that has them afraid that they're going to lose their cushy seat in Congress. Only a fre Republicans have any balls to stand up to this bully.

Jefferson is crazy sounding?? Why so afraid to present your best example rather than just allude to what does not exist? Please don't let your crushing loss bother you. Get a good nights sleep and come back tomorrow as a liberal still not concerned one wit whether liberalism makes sense or not!
