    What does Revelations really mean?

Hallucinogens were cheap and readily available around 200 CE.

That's because the Earth as a plant will not be destroyed only what's on the surface. So on the surface it will look like a new Earth. Remember, the Bible also says God will create all things new but it does not mean that God's people will be replaced by new people.

The Bible says the creation is waiting for the liberation of the children of God. So the sky will look new (new heaven) there won’t be any clouds or atmosphere because we won’t need it.

    Romans 8:19-25 (ASV)
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God.
20 For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?
25 But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

It is not that God is going to destroy creation......there is nothing wrong with the Earth or the universe.....only what sin or Satan's rebellion caused it to became.....So He's going to renew it and make it what it was meant to be or bring out its full potential and it will start with His people.

No. The earth and the heavens will be completely replaced. I read plain verses plainly and don't read books into what isn't there.

Jesus said the meek will inherit the Earth if it was a different Earth He would not have said the Earth, because He was speaking of this Earth. Jesus would have said another Earth.

    Matthew 5:5 (ASV)
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

    The Earth abides forever

    Ecclesiastes 1:4 (KJV)
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

And if you notice the in Romans 8:12 it says creation will be delivered from bondage. One does not destroy something if they are going to deliver it.

To get a better understanding of the Bible it is best to put all the scriptures that is dealing with a particular subject together.

Your quotes aren't exactly in context. Mainly I speak about Ecclesiastes which was not prophesy but poetry.

And I do understand the Bible enough to know that the old world will be done and a new world...a new creation will take its place.

But the point still is that it says it last forever. And what about what Jesus said that the meek will inherit the Earth?

Which earth? The new or the old? Jesus doesn't say does he.

Its not worth an argument where one person must win. Not this one.

That's the point....Jesus never said the Earth would be destroyed….He said the meek would inherit the Earth not another Earth. But from an observer, like John, in the vision it would appear as if it was a new Earth since nothing recognizable could be seen because everything that was on the surface was burnt up...including the sea. In fact, another scripture says the wicked would be ash under the feet of the saints. That would not happen if it’s going to be another Earth.

    Malachi 4:1-3 (KJV)
1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

This scripture also shows that the wicked will not be confined to a never ending torment in Hell......they will be burnt up as well. Nothing (root nor branch) will be left of them to remind us that once lived.

I think that is the main problem with the way some people think......it’s always about who wins an argument. But that's not how I look at this or anything that some would disagree with me about.

The thing is...I totally disagree with your interpetation. I don't "get" your logic. So we will have to disagree on these details.

It’s not my interpretation but one day you will understand, but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

YOU understanding, is what enables YOU to think. That responsibility is ALL of ours to comprehend 'reality'.

YOU found the 'good' of the scriptures by identifying that a 'new' is coming. That NEW is the 'creation' of the comprehension and 'words' to convey, within understanding what is real (truth).

ie.... the final paradigm to comprehending 'existence' itself, in fact!

what is real is 'truth', not belief.

and that LONG LONG LONG LONG awaited 'revealing' has always been 'truth'

ie... what is real to existence itself, that conscious life (you and I) can comprehend itself.

that last word (name of god) underwrites the final frontier (how existence operates) and it be universal to all.

Did you know that you also live within it?

    again.......................

The whole issue was a new Kingdom of God.. by faith as opposed to rituals, law and sacrifice.

The world at the time being the Roman Empire.. which persecuted Christians and would soon pass away.

and at each new paradigm a new kingdom is understood.

    pharonic-ptolemaic
    newton-motion
    darwin-evolution

    all 'new' kingdoms of understanding

as nature aint about 'feudalism' in the sense of culture, mankind is equally capable

    each have their flaws

    life: purposed to continue

give to live (support life to continue, by choice)

    old school

    step up to the current.

ie.... what makes you alive? What is your purpose?

What does the book of revelation really mean?

that one day, an apocalypse (unveiling) will occur!

and that prick so many have awaited opens up a can of worms, that nothing can stop from cleaning up this taco stand!

(the truth is what enables mankind)
