And there's no proof that wiretapping hasn't stopped any significant activity. There's also no proof that wiretapping has caused any Americans harm.

Show me evidence that they abuse these wiretapping privileges, not your made up guesses on what their intelligence has gathered. Sorry if I don't trust your opinion on what activities our intelligence agencies have prevented.

Ya, if you weren't such a retard retarded, you'd know that your attitude is the polar opposite of what our founding fathers envisioned. But keep, spewing the same old worn out lines, it makes your desperation even more apparent.

    Freedom fries!!!!

He also let everyone else in the world know what our policies are. He let foreign governments know we are spying on them, he let terrorists no the programs we use or don't use to track their communications.

I don't care what your view is. If you want to have a personal argument about what you think the government should be doing based on your opinion that is fine. But if your argument is that Snowden made an appropriate decision to steal classified documents and release them to the world because you believe you know what the Constitution means, then I'll have a problem with that. You or Snowden do not get to dictate our laws based on your interpretation of the Constitution. No one has verified what Snowden says is actually being done.

That is the problem, you guys believe Snowden. There is absolutely no evidence backing his claims as to what the NSA does. In fact they have vehemently denied his claims and stated how exaggerated they are. And the fact he provided no real evidence, like screen shots, or email messages, phone recordings, etc... there is just no proof that his claims are correct. There are no cases that have been brought out by the American public stating these programs illegally acquired information, there is simply no evidence. Just people saying what the government could do if they wanted to do it. Sorry bruh, not enough for me. I need real evidence.

So the Founding Fathers were advocates of foreign enemies attacking us on our soil. Interesting, I wonder what history books you have been reading.

I thought I clarified it afterward. In the context of what Snowden did being legal or not I don't care what your view is. If you want to have a convo on what you think the country should be doing, that's fine with me. I just don't care what your opinion is on whether Snowden has legal authority to do what he did or not. Because clearly he doesn't and he is clearly a traitor who deserves severe punishment... especially for leaking information that jeopardizes our foreign relations. He simply stopped caring about America and wanted to do as much harm to us as possible. It has nothing to do with the Constitution. He is a cult like leader and a freak.

Just like the the founding fathers were advocates for government running a massive spying apparatus?
Really? How about doing the world a favor and beat yourself to death with a history book, the irony would be delicious. Almost as delicious as watching you flail around making a complete fool of yourself.

    FREEDOME FRIES!!!!

That is your view. I don't know why you bothered to post it here if you don't want to defend it and/or see what other people have to say about it. This is a political discussion forum. People have different opinions. If you only care about your own, try sending yourself an email. Then you won't have to be bothered with other people's opinions of what you said.

Privileges ? They shouldn't be wiretapping to begin with . Your argument of " there isn't proof that wiretapping hasnt helped " Is laughable and akin to a child saying their isnt proof that Santa doesn't exist .

Lmao, you mean the same founding fathers that created an amendment to institute a draft that forced people in to the military to protect the country from foreign enemies? Yes, I think they would have been perfectly fine with monitoring cell phone communications to prevent foreign enemies from communicating on our soil to plot attacks against innocent Americans. I think they would have taken great amounts of measures to prevent that from ever happening again.

You have a very uneducated knowledge of history, but based on what you say, it makes a lot of sense. You aren't the smartest person out there.

They have stated that these programs have prevented over 40 terrorist plots. I guess if you are a conspiracy theorist everything is a lie. Even though we have the largest and most robust intelligence agency in the history of mankind, apparently they can't stop anything. You sound like a credible person that should be running our intelligence agencies.

The founding fathers were against tyranny. The founding fathers wrote the fourth amendment... and compulsory military exists and has existed all over the world for most of the history of war.
    https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2024.html

In order to NOT have a standing army (which they believed was the bane of liberty) there HAD to be compulsory service... which is why the disorganized militia has the right to bear arms, in part.

Nothing but ad homs. You defended Snowden's actions based on an interpretation of the Constitution. I showed you that the Supreme Court has final authorization of constitutional law, therefore there decisions are legal decisions. If you can't even start from the basis of the law and have a debate around that, then there is no reason to debate. If you agree that what Snowden did was good because he upheld the Constitution then you are saying that you believe you know what the Constitution is and you have knowledge of what is legal or not.

I don't care for that argument. Your argument should be that you agree with what Snowden did because you don't like the country you live in.

So they believed they had to force people to be in the military to protect our liberty. Interesting. I thought with your hatred of government them forcing us to be in the military would be the ultimate crime against liberty. But them wanting to monitor cell phone communications is just too far fetched for you to agree with, lol. It's just too hilarious how you think this is such a big deal.

    - - - Updated - - -

It is not the truth. But they have yet to show me that what they are telling me is not accurate. When I see evidence that they are abusing innocent Americans with these programs then I will start questioning them. But right now, it is just you being really spoiled and having too much time on your hand to think of all these imaginary fears that you have.

Yea and they used the Constitution as a reason to apply a draft for the protection of this country. You probably would have ran off to Canada like a little biatch.

They have access to a military, police force, our entire infrastructure, satellites, nuclear weapons, etc, etc, etc. So yes, I am not really terrified of them having access to cell phone records, lol. Show me evidence of their abuse, not what they are capable of. Because in my opinion, the US government in charge of the largest and most robust country in the history of mankind is capable of anything. It's what they actually do, not what they can do that I care about.

Your math doesn't add up, like most of your post. First draft was in 1863, so what the (*)(*)(*)(*) does that have to do with the founding fathers. Wow, just wow.

So the founding fathers passed an admenement for conscription(Which in reality never happened), to back up your claim they would of approve a massive spying program? Wow, stupid strikes again.

By the way, I didn't see you over in Iraq, during both my deployments. Where the (*)(*)(*)(*) where you?

Yes, the Founding Fathers cared about security of this nation. So much so that they gave the government powers to force people to defend the country even if they didn't want to. That same logic would apply to them wanting to monitor communication channels within the United States to prevent foreigners from attacking our country.

You would rather this country burn to the ground then the government use new age technology to protect us from new age technology problems. It's amazing. Just go move in to the woods and build a bomb shelter if you are so scared of the government having your cell phone metadata, lol. Embarrassing bro, man up.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Show me the specificity. They aren't JUST monitoring cell phones. They are monitoring everything. You want to live under the Stasi, that's great. You will make a great slave trader.

Have showed you a heap of (*)(*)(*)(*). Clapper lied about mass collection. Clapper mislead about being able to tag things without specified warrants. Obama lied about content culling. If at the moment of exposition you close your eyes and plug your ears and start singing... you aren't going to learn it... but do not blame us for not showing you.

What he really did was a revolutionary act (you could call him the American Assange) By 'leaking' documents about PRISM (which sounds like prison) resistance in millions is caused, and resistance leads to organisation (mass organisation because the propaganda was spread via mass media)
Mass organisation leads to a 'prison planet' aka totalitarian world. Organisation via politics, via the parties or organisation via provocation or a criminal act (thats is what Zimmer's crime caused)
Revolutionaries doing acts that cause organisation and political change.
Everytime the same things are caused, anger and/or fear (rising emotion in the masses) , more and more people are going to resist more propblems. OWS, Assange, femen, Zimmer, etc have all done revolutionary acts (you can't see what they do is revolutionary, but the result is always the same.
So politics must be very happy with all these revolutionaries and their acts, because they gain from it.

Lol, once again you are a retard and you're so desperately grasping at straws.
The first draft came about from the enrollment act of 1863, after the founding fathers where long gone.

Holy (*)(*)(*)(*), you can't possible be this stupid.

None of this justifies bringing down and searching diplomatic planes. This isn't 2004. You're not Team America: World Police anymore.

He's gone onto another country's sovereign soil. I'll be happy with you sending military/intelligence units when you concede our right to do the same in yours.
