Whats the difference between Mexicans illegally entering by land & Cubans illegally entering by sea? The Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas certainly seems to think that there's some difference. Here's what he said about the Cubans coming by sea:

"The time is NEVER right to attempt migration by sea.

However, here's what he said about the Mexicans back in March:

So to the Mexicans he said: "We are not saying, Don’t come. We are saying, “Don’t come NOW!"

And to the Cubans, he said: "The time is NEVER right to attempt migration by sea."

Does that strike anyone as slightly inconsistent? Might it have something to do with the fact that a huge percentage of any Mexicans who enter and who end up getting citizenship are likely to vote Democrat, and a huge percentage of any Cubans who enter and who end up getting citizenship are likely to vote Republican? And why would the people at sea be turned around, rather than caught and released into the interior of the country as with land crossings?

I must admit, I did not expect such a good statement on illegal immigration from Mayorkas. I'm a little confused as to why, but beggars can't be choosers.

It is perfectly consistent with Democrat politics as you explain. It is further hypocritical as the fleeing Cubans are known full well to be fleeing persecution by their government in well understood fear for their lives. Can't say the same for the southern land border crossings which, BTW, include many nationalities.

There was a time when US law gave Cuban refugees special dispensation of sorts, though I don't know but don't think it still applies.

 

Mayorkas said if they do come they will be resettled in other countries.

So why the disparate treatment other than politics?

There were special rules for Cubans from Lyndon Johnson on until Barak Obama did away with them.

So its no longer about "what part of illegal don't you understand" now its where did you come from. Aren't there any countries in South and Central America who are socialist? If so why aren't those illegals welcomed like you would welcome Cubans?

It's pretty obvious. If you're captured at sea you haven't entered the United States!

Your conspiracy theory fails at this and other levels. For instance, you rely on taking the quote out of context. Here is the full quote

Obviously he is talking about the risk. And "regardless of their nationality" doesn't mean Cubans. Most of those captured at sea are not Cubans. More Cubans prefer to go to Mexico by sea, and then by land the rest of the way.

Given that entering by sea is both incredibly dangerous and much more unlikely to succeed, Mayorkas' message is a humanitarian one: NEVER attempt entry by sea.

So there you have it. One more conspiracy website you can close the lid on.

There are times when I wish someone would investigate how many people die in the heat and cold trying to get into this country. And I’m not talking about just the ones who die once they cross our border, but how many die in Mexico and points south. We already is know about 40% of the women are sexually abused and raped, so let’s count the deaths and save their lives by pushing them back where they came from otherwise known as the only home they’ve ever known.
