Simple question -- do you even understand the concept of "left" and "right"? When people speak of a media source having a left or right bias, do you know what that means? I feel like we are having a debate in two different languages.

The mainstream media and NPR leans left, FOX leans right. These are fairly basic truths understood by both sides, I believe.

we are to go back to the 1940's and 1950's when America was great and use words such as:

1- She is with child
2-She is expecting
3-She has a turkey in the oven
4-She is in a family way
5-She swallowed a watermellon ( seriously I had an aunt that use to say that)
6-She is expecting the stork to visit ( appears that the dork already did)

I recall that my mother used phrase # 5 once or twice and as a little kid I thought that my stunt was going to die from the watermelon.. and before that my mom used phrase # 3 so I told get no way it's summer not Thansgiving day.

Leans right or left in my opinion is not the same as being biased. Being Biased is being prejudiced. Leaning one way or the other to me means that you may display or say or emphasize the best featured of your side. Bias is more like showing hatred and trashing the other side.

We are not going to agree or arrived at a common ground because after all you so incorrectly believe that you somehow know whatvI believe yet you do not.

The FBI did not eliminate those references, they removed instances of those words being improperly used. Those words still exist where used in proper context. Their mission is to make the best cops in the world to protect the US from terrorists. Training people to be bigots would be counter productive to the mission.

 

Leaning left or right is bias. It's the same thing. Do you understand what biased means? When someone says NPR or the mainstream media leans left, that's bias. When someone says FOX leans right, that's bias.

Leaning I see as a positive such as I am leaning toward voting for yes for the revised 2018 budget for our HO association.
