Exactly right. But the sheep fell for his lies. But don't get me wrong....there are sheep on BOTH sides of the aisle.

Good to know- that just confirms which of these two that Trump voters fall under from your assertion:

LoL a leftist wants to talk to me about the budget.

Meanwhile democrats are voting for candidates because they think they'll get free health care and college.

Who is stupid is pretty obvious.

Yes, leftist do not typically understand basic economics. They don't understand the negative economic impacts of "free" college and healthcare.

With that out of the way as much as you may wish it, doesn't detract from what I said in the previous post.

So, summarizing your stance: the right are crooked and them left is stupid.

And Obama said he'd cut the deficit in half by the end of his 3rd year.

Every presidential candidate says that, and some presidential candidates have tried.

I live in the real world where I know the POTUS has little control over that facet. Trump's choice at this point is to sign what Congress agreed to, or shut the government down.

You can throw tomatoes from your ivory tower if you'd like.

    Yeah I'm sure they do.

That's why they say they want to put illegal aliens on an already failing medicare system, 2/3rds of the budget is already entitlements, and Obama added 10 trillion to the debt.

    Don't make me laugh.

Medicare shouldn't even exist, but again you are deflecting from the point.

Summarizing your stance: the right are crooked and them left is stupid. Is that correct?

    Your oversimplified immature summation, mostly.

Did we? I suppose a vote for Hillary would have been a vote for a virtuous honest person right? I think by every way you could measure the two Hillary was a worse human being in each and every possible way. Each and every possible measurement. I hate the two party system also, but that is what we have here and out of 350 million people those two were what we were left with and a vote for Trump was the right thing to do. Again, by every measurement possible. And you know it.

The problem is one of logic. Two simple realities- that people who seek power can not be trusted with it, and that those who don't seek it never attain it. The innevitable result is that we have to choose the 'lesser evil.'

An alternative would be a system that puts people in power who don't want to be in power, which would substantially decrease the liklihood of them abusing that power, but would increase the liklihood of other problems like them not knowing how to effectively use it.

This is why I suggest we reduce the amount of power our elected officials have (and thus are able to abuse), primarily by decentralizing it.

The US two party system is a hoax. The voters are conditioned to believe that they control the government by those they elect, but the brutal reality is that special interests who feather the nest of elected representatives actually control the government.

In its present form, the US political system is basically an illusion, punctuated by theater, as we saw yesterday.

The voters WANT it to work and be meaningful, but they are conditioned to be deceived.

    No, it's none of those.

What was incorrect about the statement? Was it the part that states "the left is stupid"?

I only saw one summation, so yes, that one.

I mean you can try to make a big deal out of a POTUS saying they're going to reduce the deficit if you'd like, but that would just make your comments look short-sighted, naive, and agenda driven.

The fact is, Trumps plan is a 10 year plan which is in year 2, very little in the budget can be changed due to the nature of entitlements (which was proposed as an $845 billion cut in entitlements by Trump), and Trump has no control over the budgeting process.

You're welcome to stick to simplistic talking points if you'd like, but I'll have no part in your weak construct.

So, you disagree with the part of the summation of your position that states that Democrats are stupid then?

I have to ask then what did you mean by this statement:

    Thank you for your clarification.

I don't have free health care, nor do I want it. I fail to see how your response is relevant.

    Again, could you please clarify?
