Here's another example of President Trump's great thinking..:)-
    Syria has got oil-

But Obama and Hillary wouldn't have got a drop because they'd been badmouthing Assad for years-

But Don with his brilliant business brain is setting America up for a cut of the oil..:)-

Very funny. Your sense of dark-humour is at about the same level as your intelligence.

Ever get much further than the three-mile offshore limit?

    Moving right along ...

As Bill Clinton so eloquently put it in 1992, "it is the economy- stupid".

The media and most politicians thought that the US workers were resigned to the fact that globalization was fait accompli and that things for the non-college grad workers were just going to get worse. He realized that millions of illegals were holding down wages for our poorest citizens. And that was the best thing that they brought to the table, some of them worked, But some just freeloaded and took resources from American poor who could have benefited from an increase share of those programs.

American's have seen millions of jobs leave overseas and the goods imported back into the US tax free, while our exports are subjected to a VAT at point of sale in the reciprocal country.

Then the Dems put forth the Candidate with the most baggage that they could find.

You think this POS is a good choise?

I agree with you that those are the reasons incumbents are most often re-elected. However, if people were actually sick of Washington, DC, they wouldn't re-elect the very people that they are sick of in government.

What kind of question is that? I know people who are Jewish, I also know people who are Muslim who are not teaching their offspring how to create pressure cooker bombs. I welcome every religion, even that fake religion Scientology (you could argue Mormonism is based around a fictional 1800''s book, "The Book of Mormon" but we won't derail the thread with that). I love America as much as you do, which is why the Trump win was a terror attack. Trump proved over and over he would be a bomb waiting to detonate in this country in the campaign. And now that bomb has detonated.

No, your ilk was completely fooled. You've been scammed by a con man who said he'd drain the swamp, when he's created his own everglades, and has gotten in bed with people from Goldman Sachs (wasn't that supposedly a problem with Hillary and you guys?), a con man who said he'd commit a dictator-like action in locking a political opponent up, a con man who sold you a fairy tale promise of another country paying for a homegrown expense.

You have no room to talk about being fooled or scammed, when you yourself have been scammed.

I do, but you make the same mistakes as most Yanks. You are trying to employ verbal humour in a medium that is not the least bit made for it.

It just does not come across in written message boards.

Not that I am against humour, mind you, it's just the physical reality of internet blog limitations ...

In fact, a cartoon goes over better, because it is visual. For instance, this one, from the late 1800s, which depicts the situation in DC that hasn't changed for over a hundred years:

Everyone hates other reps in Congress, but they love their reps.

Only in the presidential contest do they get to express their thoughts and feelings.

Every vote is an expression of thoughts and feelings. Re-electing an incumbent is an expression of approval.

I agree with you about Americans disliking representatives from other districts and states. Congress, as a whole, has had a very low approval rating because they did not find a way to work together. (Americans do express their thoughts and feelings at times other than Presidential elections, as evidenced.) So, perhaps the election didn't show that people are sick of Washington, DC, but are sick of Congress not doing their job, instead? I'll agree with you, if that was what you meant by being sick of Washington, DC.

Very few newspapers in the US are significantly printed anymore. They all have websites you pay to subscribe . Prime time anything, including news, is dying.
I puled your Daily Mail and read some of it.
While it may contain stories about the US, it is so far off.
There is media anywhere reporting anything anyone wants to hear.
Americans Google Europe when they are plannng to travel there. Your government, economy, domestic affairs, etc..No interest at all. Europe for Americans is a vacation destination. Nothing more.

What is England doing about that?
I'm pretty sure we have successfully taken control of their only resource and asset and use it to our advantage any and every way we can. The US will occupy the Middle East until the oil runs dry or is no longer a major economic factor. And yay Putin, blow up some Muslims. But I assure you, if Russia's oil production and distribution pose any miniscule threat to US power, we will do the same there.
Funny thing. Americans love Russia blowing up the Muslims. Russia is awesome. But few realize that Russia is playing with oil. US citizens may sing Putin praise, but darlin's we are coming for your oil. Haha. I seriously can spell out, elementary style, why we win. And most still won't get it.

There are over 40,000 Protestant denominations. I doubt anyone here is interested in the details that differentiate them.
No Americans are running to Barnes and Noble to buy books to help us better understand Islam or its subgroups anymore than the French are rushing out to get books to help them understand what the difference between a Lutheran and Presbyterian is.
We will take ilegal Mexicans all day long over a hand full of Middle Eastern Muslims.
Keep them on your side of the globe.
Out of all of Europe, France is at the very bottom to us. Haha. France and military don't belong in the same sentence...paragraph.

Democrats lost because the elite Democrats are tone deaf to the Democrats in rural areas. They don't even show up. When they do they don't even listen they tell them what they're going to do. Democrats in rural areas did not vote for Hillary by any large margin. In fact many voted for Trump. He showed up, he spoke to their needs.

Americans would never compare any American president to Hitler. Ever. Antisemitism isn't an issue here. We hate Muslims, don't care who is offended by that. The Mormans are mostly in Utah.
When posters bring up Hitler and Antisemitism in the US, it is abundantly clear they aren't American.
Where does the preoccupation regarding Jews come from outside the US?

    Haha.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet you aren't American.
The gas chamber on Lady Liberty.....
You see, that is a dead giveaway.
It is difficult to try to explain because you don't understand American culture.
I'd also bet bank you have never lived independently and had to work to pay your bills.
    I'd bet everything I owned.

I'm sorry if that's how Muslims are viewed in Georgia....

But to real Americans, we don't hate Muslims. We believe in the freedom of religion.

Ahhh, obsessing about the US again rather than working to make your own country relevant? What contemporary contribution came from France? Haha.
The fat cats in your cartoon need new identities and the little ones below should have their tongues on the fat cat butts while pulling their pockets open while the fat cats throw a penny in. That would be relevant and funny.
    Little Americana culture lesson...
We don't ever refer to anyone as a Yank. The first time I heard that here I laughed so hard.
Yankees are only from New England. That is a small, most northeastern part of the US. New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey....These are where Yankees live. Someone from Pennsylvania, not a Yankee. The word is seldom heard west of the Mississippi. Southerners are in the southeast. Florida and Texas are not southern states even though they are farther south.
Why are you trying to discuss things you are so blatently ignorant about?
