No, I will not accept the first generation of a new vaccine. I will let the general population be my guinea pigs and wait for the results before I am vaccinated.
I don't know of a reason not to trust it. I feel sorry for anyone who actually falls for all of the disinformation out there alleging that vaccines cause autism, and I hope you're not one of those. If we get a vaccine that actually works and it means getting back to normal living with no great risk to my health in return, and of course effectively eliminating any chance I'll contract this nasty thing and possibly die of it, then absolutely I will take it.
I'm pretty sure that's not entirely correct. Too many otherwise healthy young people, especially men, have died from this thing for that to be the case. It causes blood clotting and perhaps other complications that a healthy immune system doesn't prevent.

I've never taken the flu vaccine, so I'm not sure with this, I think I'm more likely to take a wait & see approach.
That doesn't seem like a reason not to take a covid vaccine. I've never bothered with flu vaccines, either, but then I'm young, healthy and not around other people most of the time. Remember, it's as much about protecting others as protecting ourselves. Even if we don't fall ill, we might pass it to others who will.

You're definitely right about that. I was born after 1976. I'm guessing that medical science and safety regulations have advanced since then, though. That's bound to be a significant part of why we will be waiting a year or more to get a vaccine.
I'm drinking plenty of bleach in my water and injecting myself with small doses of Lysol. It sounded about as reasonable as injecting myself with Corona to avoid getting the maximum symptoms of the virus by chance.

You are wrong. You look at China through a lens that is completely adversarial. I look at the US/China relationship as a blend of adversary and symbiotic. It's not just about governments - it's business people in both countries building mutually profitable relationships. Do I trust the Chinese? No. Do I understand they are individuals, not just a collective, who want to make money trading with their largest business partner, the US.
I predict no viable vaccine. Corona viruses were first identified in the 1960's. There are currently 7 distinct strains - 2 Alfa, 2 Beta, MERS, SARS1, and now SARS2. In the 50 + years since their discovery NO VACCINE has ever been formulated after having spent hundreds of millions of $ trying.
That sounds great but you forget that in China, business and government are one and the same. Hell, even military division own and operate businesses. Besides that, China has not made it a secret that they fully intend to over throw, by any means necessary, the USA, as the top country in the world. That means economically and militarily.
