so your against people receiving benefits that others paid for
so you must be against welfare and other government programs going to those that didn't earn it paid for by tax payer money taken from those that did

Tough. Forcing people to support political ideology they don't support is un-American, not that you would understand. Now explain why federal workers are not forced to support unions.

Some years ago there was a Retail Clerks Union strike at grocery stores.
The settlement involved a different set of promises for younger folks than older folks.
So much for one union. All members equal.
I was shocked at such a settlement. Really.
    Forever, losing faith in unions.

You have the right to only pay Union non-political fees.

National Labor Relations Act makes it illegal for workers to not receive Union benefits and protections.

Used for politics. You did not answer the question. Why are federal workers not forced to join a union?

National Labor Relations Act does not cover State, Federal, or local govt. employees.

I believe the role of government is to defend and provide for the needs of the people when they need it.

You mean government workers which historically can only get fired if they are whistle blowers. You support forcing ideological force.

+1 Though unions have been around for a century or more, most people don't realize that public unions have only been around since the late 1950s. We have New York to thank for them. Hopefully, they will eat themselves. Their tired, inane resentment-identity narratives on income, wealth, CEO pay, etc. etc. we see repeated so much here THAT OUR TAXES PAY TO PROLIFERATE are falling apart at the seams. Every economy they enter turns to ****, and even Dem leaning centrists are starting to acknowledge this. They are economic Ebola that destroys the host, not even a smart parasite that keeps the host alive. See sig.

Start with SEIU and the NEA, the rest will fall apart pretty rapidly. It's -real- close, which is why their narratives have become so hysterical and over the top of late. Handwriting on the wall, can't come a moment too soon.

    that is 100% false.

workers are legally allowed to refuse to pay non-bargaining related Union fees.

even in non Right To Work States.
