Don't forget even as the economy is on life support, unemployment is dropping? Somehow that doesn't make sense. If the Obama administration thinks anyone but their hard left base is going to fall for it, they need to take a little trip back to Main St from their Ivory Towers. Folks need to do nothing more than look around them to see how the economy is going for them.

    Obama supporters for sure.

Unemployment is dropping because we have people taking part time jobs because they need to work no matter what, and people are leaving the workforce or retiring early. Alot baby boomers are seeing this as a sign to get out now.

    Who needs factories anyway?

Just vote for Obama and he will send you a welfare check.

You guys...Jesus. Did anyone at all, anyone take economics? A nation's economy is NOT like your checkbook. There are literally thousands of businesses, some with overseas ties, some--few without. There are multi-national investments. Complicated trade policies. We are tangled like fishing line in a tacklebox. There is no quick solution. We are living with problems we began to create in the 1950s and 60s.

I'm not an Obama fan at all. Neither was I a Bush fan. The very makeup of our government puts very little power over the economy in a president's hands. It is Congress. Congress has no will to change the problem.

If the economy were booming do think Obama would be saying that it had nothing whatsoever to do with his policies?

Who cares? How does that have anything at all to do with MY point. I don't play the partisan thing. I hate the politicians of both parties equally. Sure, he'd take the credit the way other president's do...doesn't mean that he should. It also doesn't mean he should take the full share of the blame.

In fact, I think the real blame is on all of us. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'm not acting the fool anymore. None of them have our best interests at heart. Republicans who think Romney will be different or the lesser of two evils are still voting for evil, still participating in a sham system, and in 4 years will be in the same place if not worse than they are now. Same thing for Democrats.

We have no choice. Once we quit playing THEIR game then we will be able to do something about it, but we've chosen to just deal with it because no one has sent in troops to our city yet or pulled our neighbors out of their homes kicking and screaming. It would take a large overt act for people to see just how corrupt they are, versus looking at what's left of our rights now. They learned from the mistakes of others. They created a game we all play and play and play while they're free to make money, free to have fun, free to do as they choose...while we fight with each other, carrying our stupid iPads and iPhones, and get shuffled where they want us to go...which is nowhere.

Our homes are now our prisons.

    Hooray!

Time to end the pain of Obama's failure. We treat our injured animals better than we treat the Obama administration. Time to end his suffering this November.

If only we could recall Obama now and end his suffering presently.....

You can be non-partisan if you want to.

But the left is very partisan and if the right doesn't respond the same way they will get run over.

Maybe you should pick one side or the other and help clean up that party.

Then we would have enough political support to get something done.

Do you manufacture EBT cards? Or, perhaps you own a strip club that accepts them?

How about an inner city abortion clinic? That's like a booming progressive religious site.

Yes, mine too. Criminal law has never been better. We have no rights anymore so everyone's a criminal.

It's no use talking to most of this Mob .
They have as much understanding as my Guinea Pig does of why he walks round and round on a wheel and gets nowhere .
There's a few crack pots blaming it on the President , another not worried about Factories , and none of them realising the Unemployment figures are complete nonsense in the first place .
All analysts saw this coming as certain as tomorrow is Friday and at least over two years ago .
When I came here in November and told them the US was Bankrupt and official figures were disingenuous , I was called a Troll by all and sundry .
They have no idea how the global system works and that the bulk of the global disaster lies slap bang at the feet of the US .
And frankly they deserve what's coming .
And I am not being smug , because I know exactly what is happening here in the EU and what will probably happen in the UK , once big time contagion sets in .
We all could easily be set back 100 years if things really go disastrously .
And they will still be arguing pathetic Party differences and discussing Zimmerman.

Strong U.S. retail sales ease growth worries

Americans shrugged off high gasoline prices in March and spent more strongly than expected, suggesting economic growth in the first quarter was probably not as weak as many had feared.

Sorry to be the bearer of what is for you I'm sure is depressing news for you.

Things break especially after a long period of making them do till things get better. I recently added to your numbers, but not by choice. My water heater gave up and so did my fridge. That's not an expression of economic confidence, it's called necessity. I fail to see your point.

Two things need to be done:

    1. Reciprocal tariffs will all nations. If China wants our investment, they should drop tariffs against American goods. Otherwise, we should have the same tariffs against them that they have against us.

    2. Laws to make any American company that outsources American jobs no longer count as an American company for the purposes of involvement in political activities, tariffs, and intelligence monitoring.

It's not going to happen with Obama as President and the Democrats in charge of Congress. They are big supporters of GM and GE, both of which recently built or are building manufacturing plants in China.

It's not going to happen with a Liberal flipflopper like Romney as President or the NeoCon masquerading as fiscal conservatives (AKA the Tea Party) ruling Congress either.

    But it's what should happen.
