It's not going to happen. Stop embarrassing yourself and Paul with these delusional fantasies.

I agree. I was a Ron Paul supporter long before it was hip and trendy. But you are delusional if you think he has even a remote chance of winning the nomination. It simply isn't going to happen and the more his supporters deny this the more silly and crazy they end up looking, which hurts Ron Paul and his message.

I'm not surprised when people still insist he has a chance. Not surprised at all actually. Ron Paul exists in his own little world, and it's logical to assume his followers do as well.

What's funny is that you think everyone who voted for Obama bought that stuff anyway. It was a campaign slogan. I don't vote for campaign slogans, I vote for candidates that mirror my own views as closely as possible amongst the choices.

Do you vote for campaign slogans or candidates?

Except Obama actually won primaries and obtained enough delegates to get the nomination, Ron Paul did not. See the difference?

So you voted for someone who you knew was lying to your face?

I was voting for a politician. Assuming that some of what a politician is going to tell you is not going to turn out as planned is mandatory. Some of what Obama told us came to be. Some did not. In my opinion he's been a mediocre president, but I do not regret voting for him.

So you were assuming that his central campaign theme was probably not true yet you still voted for him.

Paul couldn't be so un-American that he would blow any chance of getting rid of Obama.

Ron Paul is done with politics after this. He got his message out to the youth and now it is our turn to carry the torch of liberty into the future. Bravo, Ron. You fought the good fight for a long time, now let us carry the load!

Don't allow youthful enthusiam to cloud your common sense. Voting third party is the same as looking in the refridgerator for dinner, seeing two items, both of which you are not overly fond and refusing to eat. Pick the one you can stomach better and get something for your effort. Throw the other out.

The same can be said for voting for the same old bull being fed to you by the R&D's....doesn't matter which one you choose...they will both give you food poisoning...

This is a big deal. Having his name put in nomination gets Ron Paul an unedited speech at the convention. He has said more than once that he wants the convention to have a debate about the direction of the Party and the country and not just be a coronation.

It's unlikely that RP will win the nomination, but he could have an effect like Reagan did in 1976. At that convention, many there felt like they had nominated the wrong man, and that was made apparent when Gerald Ford lost to Jimmy Carter in the general election.

As Yogi Berra said, "it's deja vu all over again!"

There is a large group of people (seemingly mostly Republican) who only vote for party. Period. It's a disgusting way to participate in a democracy/republic.

I think Paul, Palin and Bachmann should all three be @ the convention.

Perhaps they could speak in unison.

That's very dismissive, generalizing, and unkind. Should we live in the real world and pull the lever for Mitt? I'd rather dance in fantasy disco land with unicorns and vote Ron or Gary Johnson.

This. I'm not going to pick the lesser of two evils. Honestly, I'm not even sure which one would be considered the lesser of two evils. They're the same thing.

What's the big deal? Even if Romney gets in, he'll do the same things Obama has done.
