I smell BULL(*)(*)(*)(*)! How does a left handed man, hands behind his back post pat down shoot himself in the right temple? Something just doesnt add up here. What are your thoughts?

Something is not right here. I think Obama should have the police chief and the mom over for a beer in the rose garden to straighten things out.

Only in Mississippi can police handcuff a guy and then claim he killed himself by shooting himself in the head.

Me either, something just isnt right. What really worries me is the police want us to believe they patted him down and missed a pistol? Im looking to see if the caliber of the weapon has been revealed just yet. You could miss a 22 or 25 but anything other than that I just dont see it..

just because a gun was found, doesn't make it the gun. that's up to a ballistics report to determine.

hell, it could have been the drug dealers' boss making sure he didn't flip on him...and he just dropped the gun.

Well I would have the police officers hands checked for power residue that you get from firing a weapon. I forget what the legal word for it is. If police are to blame, it would show up there. Unless an officer has fired his weapon recently and he would have had to make a report out for that, this shouldn't have been to hard to prove if done right.

Target practice I would think would negate such tests being used as proof. The law, and its officers, get a 'benefit of the doubt' the rest don't receive. There is no "he said, she said".

This kid could also have been a gang member and was shot by a rival gang member while in back of police car and police off investigating other witnesses. He sure didn't shoot his self in the side of the head with hands handcuffed behind him.

He would have to show he was at the firing range that day to get away with that.

That thought came to my mind as well. Eliminate the potential snitch while still in your sights. But it would still mean the cops dropped a throwaway next to him, which I doubt they would do in such a situation.

He could say he was out shooting squirrels that morning. The law must give their officers the benefit of the doubt for the majority of normal law enforcement, and it can't flip flop. This puts it in a natural disadvantage when dealing with corruption. The burden of proof needed to convict a normal citizens can be x10 to convict an officer. Would need to have a picture of him doing it. Or a plethora of witnesses.

number of things they need to check, GSR on the victims hands, powder stippling, GSR patterns on the cars upholstery. I also want to give he benefit of the doubt to the police but this thing smells to high heaven

edit - today managed to have some witnesses come forward that observed the incident from start to finish. And their statements tend to support that whatever transpired in the back of that police car transpired in the back with the officers in a different location.

in that case then they should know exactly who pulled the trigger
