    Someone in a position of authority had sex with those she was partially in charge of. I don't know if it should be a felony, but I'm fine with the jail time (though 5 years seems excessive). It's practically rape, and I seriously doubt that as many of her supporters would be so cavalier about it if the genders were reversed. Wait until they graduate, and then you're in the clear. But as long as you're their teacher, you need to keep your hands off.

    well there's a definite problem here isn't it. Gotta have teachers but then we're finding that so many have political agendas, ShOULDN"T be around kids of any age and have no standards for their own lives.

    I watched up to 40 seconds, and I saw some grumpy middle aged guy complain about Linkin Park, for gods sake. That's hilarious, they don't even curse much. Just another guy trying to impose morality.

    If that had been a man teacher, he would have gotten prison and you know it... the same rule should apply to the female teachers.......

    As the article said, "18 or not, it's a crime for a teacher to have sex w/her students' and it should be. We don't send our sons to school for the teacher to have sex w/him anymore than we would send our daughters, even if she is 18, to have sex w/her male teacher...

    Married and 3 kids, huh? And she had these students to her home? I feel sorry for the poor schmuck she's married to.......

    Sex between prison guard and prison inmate. That's rape. Between officer and prostitute: rape. Sex between doctor and psychiatric patient: rape. Sex between guardian and adult ward: rape. Someone subject to the authority of another person can't fully consent to sex with that authority figure. The authority of the teacher in this case isn't the same as that of a guard, officer, doctor, or guardian, which is why I said "practically rape." And that's the case for every reason that it is actually rape in the other instances.

    The only ones that you listed that have any credibility are the prison guard on inmate and officer and prostitute, because both could lie and get them into trouble with the law. A teacher has no such power over a student, they can easily decline. There is no "practically rape" here, it isn't even close.
