You can change the law, that's fine, still doesn't change the fact that she's a slut, and if I was her husband I'd dump her in a heartbeat.

 

3 of her students testified saying they did not feel like they were taken advantage of nor did they consider themselves a victim. That right there is exactly why she shouldn't spend a day in prison.

 

I think she should be fired and banned from teaching for xx period but what a waste of resources. It also again calls into question the prudence of having 20 somethings teaching HS age students.

 

Well you're not her husband. So quit judging their relationship like the neighborhood gossip queen.

 

Just cause your 20 something doesn't mean you can't keep it in your pants. Or at least wait until the summer after they graduate.

 

It's not...unless you're in a position of authority over them (teacher, doctor, therapist etc etc). Like it or not, laws for this are good. Or else we'd have 18 year old high school students getting straight "A's" for banging the teachers.

 

It's not like they are psychotherapists, they're simply teachers. What they are doing is unethical but it shouldn't be illegal.

 

I don't understand why people can't understand this. Parents do not send their kids to school to be screwed by the TEACHER! What the hell is wrong w/MORALS?

And I noticed not one poster who sees nothing wrong w/this never said a word that it would be ok w/them if their 18 yr old daughter was sleeping w/her teacher......

 

and if your brother had sex with anyone in his chain of command, they both would have went to jail.

there are lot's of idiotic laws, but they are still laws. she abused her position of authority and now she has to pay the price.

 

if i had a daughter, the law would be the least of his concerns.

 

the illegalities revolve around the student/teacher relationship, not age.

though one could argue coercion, for a passing grade.

 

One could argue a lot of things without evidence.

 

and certain relationships, for instance the student/teacher relationship, make it and easier argument.

 

Spoken like a true daddy and some of the others may feel the same way about their daughters, but their sons? Oh well! Junior getting laid by his teacher is just part of his homework assignment - no biggie.... according to them. It's sickening.......

 

If you don't want to live by the rules placed upon those in the public teaching industry, don't accept the public money that pays your salary, benefits and retirement.
We say don't sleep with students or go to jail. You make your own decision.

And that's it in a nutshell ... then there's the teachers 35-40 yrs old who go after the 12-14 yr old guys...... holy crap! Talk about having mental problems and they're teaching our kids! I'll never understand what an adult woman finds sexually appealing about a hairless, scrawny school kid........truly SICK......

 

Oh but it's so true...yelling to give it a rest won't make it untrue. They did the worst damage to your country than anyone in history.

Makes you wonder if all these stories like this that keep cropping up, are an indication that more teachers are having relationships with their students, or is it cable news and the internet that exploit the stories and make it appear that the problem is exploding ?
