I have some serious questions about what that 1.6 million rounds were for, but I also realize that this is where our trillion dollar a year defense budget goes, to cronysim.

The fact that this story has no legitamite source, and now has 3 threads claiming the DHS bought these, is quite disturbing to me.

God is not going to save you from hollow point bullets, but other than that, I certainly think that the state are going to turn in on you, I see that as the natural conclusion to a state that was allowed to have unregulated powers, became non transparent, etc.

Trillions in debt, and the Fed is a private bank for foreigners, they own your dollar, lend it back to you at massive interest, and the politicians create the debt by funding illegal wars, the profits of which also go to the rich.

The problem is your real enemy may not be clearly visible, Americans, or even living there.

Sounds like a way around the Posse Comitatus Act. If you can't use the military as a police force then just militarize the police.

You could perhaps be right. I can find scores of sites reporting the aquisition but the best references only note the army procurement folk as paying for the vehicles, not mentioning who they go to. That said, I have also seen a lot of pictures of the things all decked out in Homeland Security logo's and at least a couple of videos of homeland security folk lauding the machines..

Can I prove 2717 vehicles going to Homeland Security? No...can you demonstrate where they are going? the answer again is NO.
