BLM had absolutely NO AUTHORITY to mount such a siege.
In hindsight,it might be an excellentt example of that many have warned about
with this Authoritarian bunch of Fascists.
This Proves that Agenda 21 is alive and well and growing.

Let's see - which side is it again, Left or Right, that is incessantly and pathologically obsessed with labeling those that disagree with their inane nonsense as "racist"?

Bundy was in the wrong to begin with but this type of behavior from our own government is outrageous. It shouldn't be tolerated or permitted and that is where his support is coming from. You have a lot of people intentionally ignoring that in favor of playing politics.

Yes. They should have sent computer geeks with glasses to impound the property of a dangerous criminal who has called in anti-government militia from across the country. That would have gone over well.

Okay. What should the government do in response to people who refuse to pay their grazing fees for 20+ years. Simply doing nothing would certainly encourage others to do the same. They won in court multiple times. They waited over 20 years before deciding to get serious. What should they do in your opinion?

What specifically is "racist" here other than you're offended?

Clearly someone saying something that someone, somewhere construes as racist isn't the actual reason you dislike Bundy. Joe Biden has made comments that Indians are disgusted with, and nobody cares.

You know how many people on this board alone asked why they never placed a lean on his house? That would have been a great start. Not showing up with an army.

There's video of the many heavy trucks used the day a Bundy grandmother was
knocked to the ground from behind and had her head pushed in the dirt.
Plus that same time, one of the Bundy men was tazered 3 times.
On the near fatal Saturday, there's more video of Paramilitary geared
men, standing { hiding ? } next to Homeland Security assault vehicles.
A Paddy wagon was also seen after the standoff was temporarilty resolved.
Are you one of those who believe that at Waco, that tank never fired at the
    compound,igniting a huge firestorm.

People might trust the government more if they followed their own laws, and didnt lie so much.

Okay. I understand your position. However, if they weren't threatened with violence in response, wouldn't you say they would have done what they were there to do, and not harmed anyone? Or do you think the plan was to go kill Bundy's family regardless of how they responded?

And when too many lawbreakers were swarthy, they cried racist and let them out of prison for dealing drugs.

This was a typical democrat inspired show of force.Probably given the all clear
by the White House and personally authored by Harry Reid " THE biggest crook
    in Washington. "

I don't know anything about that. If true, he should be forced to pay or suffer the consequences under the law. I personally can't stand Al Sharpton anyway.

The comments coming from his supporters over this are a good place to start looking.

Because they weren't trying to take his house; they were trying to remove his cattle from federal land.

Never mind that the guy had ignored court orders for *20 YEARS*. What do you think a lien would accomplish?

The BLM first got a court order saying the land was protected habitat in 1998 -- way before Obama, way before Chinese solar companies. Bundy has been ignoring the BLM ever since -- and, since he stopped paying fees, grazing his cattle illegally at taxpayer expense.

It is not government overreach to attempt to implement a court-ordered removal of trespassing cattle from public land.

Conservatives seem offended that the BLM sent along armed officers to protect the cowboys doing the roundup -- ignoring the fact that this was in response to Bundy emphasizing he had a lot of guns and would do "whatever it takes" to defend his property. Never mind all the armed supporters who showed up to help.

It's ludicrous, and shows how banana-boat crazy the far-right has become.

The plan was simple in it's deviousness. To make a big show of force to let
the Country, know in no uncertain terms how this Government handles, treats and
acts toward anyone daring to defy it's Limited Authority as defined by Our Constitution.
No different than Obamas " enemies list " and as a candidate stating at a
Philadelphia fundraiser ... " If they Bring a Knife to the Fight,We Bring a Gun. "

I don't know how things would have went if the BLM took the lawful and right approach. Bundy could have reacted the exact same way or he could have obeyed seeing as how he wouldn't really have had much of a choice anymore at that point. I can tell you this though regardless of which way it would have went the BLM would have garnered mass and legitimate support for their side.

Unfortunately though this is all a what if and I'm not really big on speculating if I don't know the people personally to know how they would most likely behave. The best thing I think for them to do at this point is to withdraw everyone. From their they can handle things in court. That is the closest we'll ever come to finding out.

That's the first thing that popped into my head when I read the OP. How quickly that the lefties forget: http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/01/09/obama.reid/index.html

To Harry Reid's [dis]credit, he had the decency to express his racism in private, where he thought that he wasn't being overheard by the press, instead of having the testicular fortitude to express his racism openly at a press conference like Cliven Bundy did.
