Odd post. I never thought of being an 'activist' as a pejorative in this country. Matter of fact I always was taught that activism was what the whole point was since 1778. What else would anyone have called the household of John and Abigail Adams but an activist family, which produced John Quincy Adams. I guess activism takes on another meaning if there isn't a bible on the table. I hope the boy takes full advantage of the educational opportunity provided, and comes back home. He's just the kind of American, I'd like stirring things up around here.
You forgot to mention that Qatar is the chief supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the main middle eastern contributor to the Clinton Foundation. It is the country that the Obama Administration and the Clinton Foundation usedto funneled money and weapons to the Libyan Rebels. Now, the boy will learn how to attach the clock to a real bomb.
Qatar is a great opportunity.. The father's income will triple and the boy will be able to travel and get a good education.
Oh activism is good, it's NOT good when your intent is to promote ideas that contradict the Bill of Rights - that is progressive and that is fascism.. Ever hear of the concept of "Don't Tread On Me"?
Study and learn he says... Sure. I predict we'll be hearing more from this turd and his pappy within a decade, and it won't be about his awesome electronic skills.............or will it? This is yet another product of political correctness (like Lena Van Haren), and because of it, terrorists will be even more emboldened to cause harm towards America... Thanks libs. And yes, this is all your fault. If America wasn't so damn PC, this wouldn't have been a story and Ahmed Clockmed wouldn't have gotten all the victimhood and attention that he's gotten. Next time someone suspects an object that could be a potentially deadly weapon, shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up about it and let the police do their job. Enough of your intimiretardation on soft people.
I would be willing to bet that this won't be the last time we hear from this family. On good terms anyways.
So in retrospect, the arrest was the best thing that ever happened to to Ahmed and his family, right? Further, Ahmed's newfound fame will be better exploited in the Middle East and not United States, right? Go figure...
The point in this country is that we don't normally pick and choose which ideas are 'good' or not, or welcome or not, and certainly over a decade before his are even developed. We are not supposed to be scared of political or social ideas. Come to think of it, John Quincy left this country to get his education over in Europe and Russia, traveling around, before settling on Leiden University in the Netherlands. Some of his were also rather revolutionary and unconventional back in the day. Its not this boys ideas that bother most folks. They have barely stretched out of a fetal position at 13 years, its how they are stereotyped secondary to his ethnic and religious connections. Oh yes and he met Obama and that is terrifying to the Tories around here.
The north has more "hatemongers" than the South. You obviously have never had the opportunity to listen to such a conversation between both.
It is absolutely pathetic what some people will do and say to support such a horrendous thing in order to toe their political line.
There's absolutely no other reason he'd take his family there. Remember in 1996 when Clinton refused to take Bin Laden because he hadn't posed a threat to America? We all know hindsight, but if history is any indicator, this kid or his lunatic dad will be back.
WOW, no I do not understand that. The whole point is that that the free expression of ALL ideas is a positive and a good in a free society. There is no exception made for constitutional ideas. There was an expectation that the very concepts in there, would be under constant examination and if they did not stand up to scrutiny, there was an amendment process to change them. Don't be a coward. The founders weren't.
We don't limit political voice. As to not being scared of political or social ideas, we voice our concerns opposed to "bad" ideas freely. In the past we freely opposed the ideas represented in the oppressive movements like communism or nazism or other anti liberty isms. Mohamedism is one such oppressive ideology but voicing opposition or serious question is precluded in our sick pc environment. Cheers Labour
Maybe he'll make his first visit to your town. - - - Updated - - - Indeed. He'll learn how to build a real bomb.
Not sure if you're arguing or reiterating my point. That's why I said they need to shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up next time and let the police do their job. - - - Updated - - - Maybe we should arrest all muslims that look suspicious.
Yea, promoting the idea to end free speech or religion or the right to own guns is about as good or rational as one attempting to eat their own head.. Using freedom and the Bill of Rights to destroy freedom is very "patriotic" - yea only in your mind.. In my universe we call that fascism and tyranny..
Applause for doing an essay on John Quincy Adams. We get it. But I highly doubt you'd want to hear his opinion on any of today's current events involving this kid. Who cares if he's stereotyped, we all are. No sense in crying about it. Meeting obama isn't the problem. It's the acceptance of this kid over real American heroes. If you can't grasp that common sense concept......well.
The family.... Dad: a radical activist who has made it clear he's no fan of America. Sister: involved in a bomb threat to the school, after which... Ahmed: brought a briefcase-looking box full of wires and an LED timer that even he admitted could look suspicious. What did we lose? Stop blaming everything on bigotry. .
