No, you just keep reiterating my (*)(*)(*)(*)ing point. Stop making a big deal out of police doing their (*)(*)(*)(*)ing job. Nobody will call them over a stinking pencil. But a fake pistol or beeping backpack may gain attention, and if it does, don't act like the ones taking action are the bad guys.
It is both. Article 1 Qatar is an independent sovereign Arab State. Its religion is Islam and Shari'a law shall be a main source of its legislations.
Well, the mayor and Beck turned it into an attack on Islam. I said maybe. Because he's effectively been ostracized from our culture. That tends to lead to animosity. - - - Updated - - - No... Don't (*)(*)(*)(*)ing overreact.
That's the problem. It is the only definition, and y'all constantly use it wrong. The definition you're looking for is biased or prejudiced, not bigoted. If you're going to use it, use it right. It's no different than saying "there cars are over their." His dad is an Islamic activist and involved in the Muslim Brotherhood, and his sister has made bomb threats in the past. By association, he hates America. http://www.newstalkflorida.com/clock-making-teens-dad-islamic-activist Do you feel the same when supporters of the Confederate Flag are stereotyped as racists? Or when Conservatives are stereotyped as "Bible thumpers and gun nuts?" He's free to decide whatever he wants. America is free to decide if he falls under a stereotype or not. He's not protected from that, nor are any other foreign or domestic people. But I know you wouldn't care about the stereotyping if he was white. You only show concern because he's a minority. Unlike you, I don't discriminate. I'll stereotype anybody.
The Liberals lose a hero. The whole event was a scam and Liberals fell for it. He disassembled a clock radio, put it in a suitcase to appear as a bomb. He even plugged it in so the alarm would go off and raise suspicion. He was arrested for a "Bomb Hoax", not a bomb. The cops knew what this little asshat and his family was up to. His sister also called in a bomb threat to the school 3 years earlier. Way to pick your heroes lefties. I hope he and his whacked family stay in Qatar.
Ok, so "See something, say something" or not? All of this was avoidable, all the left had to do was not make this kid into a victim and give him a status for being questioned about a suspicious device. But that was all part of the plan though, be sure to stick to it, ellesdee.
Tell that to your desperate mainstream media. See something, say something. The teacher did her job, the cops did their job, and nobody was hurt. I thought that's what y'all wanted. Of course it wasn't good enough though because a kid other than a white one was detained.
School officials were being prudent, protecting the children. Irving, Texas has had its share of jihad and sharia. Two Muslim sisters, Amina and Sarah Said, were honor murdered by their father, execution-style, in Irving several years ago. He is still at large. And Irving, Texas is only half an hour from Garland, Texas the site of a jihad shooting on a free speech event last May. And the news is regularly riddled with stories of young Muslims, all lovely, sweet achievers, who suddenly go jihad. But of course, we should have all known that some muslim kid we don't know wouldn't make a real bomb.
Laws can be based on religion, but for a theocracy to occur, a cleric must rule while imposing only the religion. Like most ME countries, they form their law based on Sharia just as we base our laws, such as thou shall not murder, on the Bible. How we apply them may be different, but still does not show a theocracy. Iran AND the Vatican are theocracies.
this is not political, it is factual. What was pathetic are the far right wingers on this forum showing complete ignorance of a country and a culture. Keep in mind, Qatar is our ally and has been for a very, very, very long time that has transcended across both party lines. - - - Updated - - - Hindsight is always 20/10. However, at that time, there was no real clear evidence he was there to begin with while the country was trying to use OBL for favors from the US.
It may be been one of the relatives of the Emir, but not the Emir himself. But since they watch the same news as we do through satellite TV, I am guessing that it has been in the works since the incident occurred some 30 days ago.
As I said, these groups that you call jihadists are fighting ISIS. You are making the allusion that Qatar is sending supplies to groups that support ISIS and that is not correct.
That's always the issue. Do you want to risk getting burned again or wait until you can see it from hindsight? IF you get that opportunity. Just because you don't trust someone doesn't mean you're frightened of them or hate them.
Just because its religion is Islam does not mean its a theocracy. Our religion, according to evangelicals, is Christian, and that should be the only religion. Does that make the United States a theocracy if Christianity is the religion of the land?
America is Christian as far as religion goes, with a couple other religions mixed in. And nobody has ever said it should be the only. We were blessed with the option to choose eternal life or damnation. In my opinion, the choice is obvious, but I'm not going to force anyone to choose.
The issue is not the opportunity, but the risk if the information is not correct. If the deal was struck AND the information was not correct, the conservatives would be going after the Clinton administration for making the deal in the first place.
How many people do you think I am? - - - Updated - - - You can say something without the kid being arrested. I don't understand what you're talking about in the rest of this post.
The point I was making is that if we follow evangelical thinking and using the definition of theorcracy by the person I replied to, then the United States would be defined as a theocracy. Thus, the whole post was to show that the person was using an incorrect definition for theorcracy.
