Oh Please, a 'voter' needn't be sophisticated to understand that their HC cost would go up by 25% to who knows how much next year. As Bill said " It's the economy stupid". People needn't be sophisticated to reach in their pocket and count their money. And, as far as Putin and wiki leaks goes think about this, If Hillary didn't set up the server at home and kept America's business on the govt server we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Nope. Only if you voted for Trump are you responsible for Trump. I hated it when Trumpers said that voting third party is the same as voting for Hillary--they were wrong. I'm just as irritated when liberals say that voting third party is the same as voting for Trump--you are wrong. Only by voting for Trump are you responsible for Trump.

And what did the Democrats "think through" when throwing Sanders under the bus and choosing a corrupt criminal as their "leader"?

Some of that might be true but not most of it.

It is Hillary who wanted what she wanted and ignored everyone else. She felt she was owed the presidency. Trump at least fought for it.

White nationalism does not exist and was never invoked by trump

LOL you are too funny! You should not rule out that this was a rejection of Obama and his failed policies and the PCness he encouraged for 8 years along with trying to elect a crook. Election tampering is for Democrats

Guess again, pal. Had Obama been in this race, he'd have won by 10 points. He's proven he'd beat the best you have - TWICE. Election tampering is for casino owners.

I think that this assessment is largely true, to which I'll add that demo's need to understand that in order to win the white house they *need* exciting, engaging, candidates in order to get people to the poles.

That claim doesn't match the election results, unless for some odd reason, there are fewer registered voters.

Your article says that Trump had 59,152,992 and Hillary had 59,323,520 votes.

Well, Romney had slightly over 60 million votes, and Obama slightly under 64 million votes in 2012. Unless there are over 4 million votes not yet tallied in the figures in the article you posted, something is wrong.

I think the collective told their own lies about the polls so much, they began to believe them and allocated their resources accordingly. As one of our favorite Clinton shills always said, Clinton +300.

He would have been crushed. Trump was not running when Obama did and the idiot would not have stood a chance against a real candidate.

She lost Wisconsin because she never bothered to campaign there. Most of her time was spent in big cities but she never went into rural areas and her presence in suburban areas was too limited. She felt a victory was a done deal and failed to understand that you must fight for and earn the votes. The DNC should have taken charge and forced her to do it. But it failed to do so.

You forgot that Obama's approval ratings are higher than ever. They even surpass Reagan's numbers.

My guess is what is wrong is that you are not taking Stein and Johnson into consideration. Johnson in particular.

To paraphrase what I've said before, the republicans/ US has likely elected the most progressive president to date.

I agree with much of what you say here. But perhaps the most important thing is something that was left unsaid: Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders represented two sides of the same coin, and that coin served to indicate that people are no longer interested in politics as usual. The GOP ended up having to embrace this fact (albeit grudgingly) and support Donald Trump, the Dems ended up trying to suppress/deny this fact by using the DNC against Sanders. On issues pertaining to things like trade, Trump and Sanders were not all that far apart. Anyway, bottom line, Hillary Clinton's views and mode of operating are not in line with those of a good many of the voters in this country, and that reality was brought into focus yesterday. I for one wish president-elect Trump and the team he puts in place all the best going forward.

Agreed. A cast vote is never a wasted vote. That idea is one that the two major parties want to perpetuate. Given the steady increase in the number of people who choose not to be affiliated with either the D or R brand, I actually believe the days of traditional party politics are numbered. (Anyone who thinks that Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders were the standard, run of the mill party candidates weren't paying close enough attention...).

That is part of it for sure, but it goes back to her over reliance on negative ads in population center markets. In 2008 and 2012, Obama/Biden/Bill Clinton were zig zagging through my city/area in a regular basis. I do not know of any Clinton speeches or surrogate appearances within my area this time.

Jeez! You still don't get it?

Hint: The same morons who are telling you 0bama's approval is up are the same idiotic, lying fools who projected a big Hillary win.

Good God. What's it going to take to get through to people?

I'm glad about that, personally. I do think he is more progressive than a candidate like Ted Cruz. I am a centrist and don't like how extreme both of the parties have become. I think Trump is going to look at the US as if it is a business venture. I don't think he gives a whole lot of thought to social issues, like gay marriage, abortion, etc. I don't think anything will change in regard to those types of social issues.

Denial of reality is not my problem.

Trump shamelessly pandered to white nationalists and was rewarded with their devoted support,

Facts don't support your assertion. Hillary is no Obama, and the only reason why she lost is because she failed to garner the Obama coalition in key battle ground states. Yet, she STILL received more votes than Trump.
