On top of that, the repressions are part of history of homeland class in school, and freely studied in historic faculties in universities. History of Soviet Union and our past is pretty much exposed and open, but some people on this forum prefer to gently ignore THAT fact and pretend it's aaaall keps in deeeep seeecret, and that whooooole cooooountry admires Stalin, and Stalin only, Stalin personally...

It's not like you can:
a) Be proud of achievements of people of that age, regardless of who was in charge of country;
b) Like certain elements of culture or society of the period, regardless of who was in charge of country;
c) Praise heroism of soviet soldiers, especially your grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who fought for their land, regardless of negative things that happened TOO, along with acts of heroism;
d) Be a communist or socialist, because you see them as better ideologies, regardless of their history;
e) Recognise some actions of even Stalin himself, or some decidions of government of USSR in that period as positive;
f) Recognise fact that all people are different, and that albeit there were some terrible persons in Union, especially it's government, majority of people were just people, normal and sane;

It's not like people can do any of these things, or even all of them at once, right? That would be crazy. You either condemn "evil ulus" with all your soul, or burn in Hell for sin of compassion and sanity.
