Well said! We need to call out China much more on her dispicable colaboration with NK, but somehow it gets ignored by wider media.

If China "runs" NK, it can neutralize the nukes.

The point is not to just sink ships. It is to impress on Kim (and more importantly the Chinese) that we have the capability and the will to attack with precision any target we choose in North Korea (and China if need be) including any hole that Kim is hiding in.

Currently, North Korea could not come within a hundred miles of hitting an island the size of Guam let alone a ship at sea.

The idea is to press the Chinese to curb Kim, or face the consequences of his actions.

 

Tough luck your Japanese Empire didn't kill more people or win the war.

 

Kim Jung Un already knows all that. He knows we could bomb, missile strike and drone strike anywhere in N. Korea we want to. He knows this. Everyone knows this.

All we would be proving is that he is free to do whatever he wants because we'll actually do nothing. Better to do nothing than act like chumps and idiots, as in proving we are again doing nothing than we always do towards him: cry wolf.

China isn't going to help us. We are China's only real rival in the entire region.

Yeah Trump started to threaten NK. Who started to launch missiles on Japan water area ? Who is developping nukes ?

 

That is one of the more stupid posts I've seen here which is saying a lot.

They have nothing to put in the air that won't be dead. If it flies it dies here is never truer.

They could have a two million man army and they will still be killed although it'll take a week or so. Many will surrender. SK troops will not join them but we have to remember there are ties between SK and NK; familial ties that are strong. We cannot condemn the NK people. It is the regime that is evil.

Artillery and airpower kill troops. Those that hide underground do require ferreting out by troops. But again most will eventually surrender. Once the regime is toppled, assuming there is war, they will need to be able to drop leaflets liberally.

It is the artillery we need to take out and perhaps some missiles.

China has threatened the US if they start a war. That's a new wrinkle.

if kim lauches missles aimed at Guam that is an act of aggression that cannot be ignored

 

No one denies that this would be an act of war, if Kim shots missiles towards Guam ... or shots whatever or with whatever against whatever outside NK territory!

But if this does not happen, but we get suddenly "breaking news" of some hundred shot cruise missiles and a dozen bomb raids by B-1 or B-2 bombers by local night time, then you know who the aggressor is!

I live in the UK and remember the cold war times and an attack would have reached the UK before the US - we had US nuclear bases within a few miles of every city. I remember the 1970's scare mongering TV adverts where we were told that on hearing the nuclear warning sirens to put a white sheet over our dining tables and sit underneath the table. We were also told to paint our front doors white. Bit odd was that we were told that we only would have 4 minutes after hearing the sirens before the bombs reached us so not sure how they expected us to do all this. Every house had a booklet delivered that was titled something like "What to do if you hear the nuclear sirens". There was no rational thinking during the cold war.

My parents remember the Cuban crisis and my mum was worried. The UK was just as much a target as any US city

Do you really think that any so called surgical Air raid by bombers and / or cruise missiles towards missiles sites will end this threat? Do you really think that Kim will not react with counter attacks on it ... for which he is then ironically by law allowed (due to the articles of the cease fire agreement in 1953!)?
Do you really believe to hit all missiles? I will remember you for the mobile missile launchers od Saddam and what difficulties the US had to catch the Iraqi one in 1991 and 2003 ... and Kim has not only a multiple time more Scud launchers as Saddam, but much other types of bigger missiles as Scud's?

Hopefully you are not one of these low brainers who seriously think that a war with NK ... even pure conventional fought ... is not more worse as war of 2003 against Saddam!
