What does any of that have to do with religion screwing up the US?

Lady Gaga was huge from 2009-2011 but has since had to resort to politics and other things to remain relevant. I don't see anything wrong with Taylor Swift who seems apolitical for the most part. And I really don't have much of a problem with Kim Kardashian either, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to read about her.

 

It's kind of too late for conservative values. There are lots of different norms all over the world. They are based on nature conditions and determined by history and development of a society. There is no one good norm. It's normal to have one wife in Christian country, it's normal to have lots of wives in muslim country, it's normal to have no wife in liberal country. BUT. the norm is taught at school. That is when a person is bringing up learning what is and what isn't normal in his society. After school graduation only few people will significantly change their opinions on what is normal and what not. If a person was taught nothing at school - he becomes a wild liberal (there are some liberals at least they were who knew a lot about the world and they respected the liberties on the basis of knowledge and wild libs do so according to their beliefs), but in a liberal society no norm gets a chance to replace liberal values. So in this case the administration is decades too late. Conservatives lost the campaign and only a global war or global economic disaster (I mean when people would riot and fight with cops for the government to take the liberties back in exchange for safety or food) can possibly change it. We are doomed to see our kids liberal.

I haven't read most of the bible, but I have read the gospels. I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't say anything about gays. I remember the part where he saved a prostitute that was about to be stoned. I think its reasonable to assume he would have done the same for a homosexual.

I have read the part of the bible that is all about Jesus. He certainly doesn't sound like a barbarian to me.

 

I'm not the one who "hates" - Jesus is - he hates Muslims so much that he won't let any into heaven, and will see to it that they get nothing but brutal torture in his "lake of fire", no matter how ethical of a life they might have led. I'd admit that I was wrong, if I was in Jesus' shoes....would you also do that, Brexx, if you were in Jesus' shoes? In other words would you err on the side of love, and not hatred?
