And since his advisors are paid from the Office of Personnel Management, they would not be exempt......

The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials[1] from engaging in some forms of political activity. It went into law on August 2, 1939. The law was named for Senator Carl Hatch of New Mexico. It was most recently amended in 1940.

The actual statute also exempts anyone designated by the President.

Accordingly, the OP is 100% false and the BBC doing its typical FAKE NEWS.

Wrong. The pay comes from the Treasury of course but through an appropriation by the Executive Office, therefore exempt.

The deep state is the military industrial, national security state. And their minions. An example of a minion? Sure. The oversight committe for the CIA. Which was spied on by the agency it has oversight over, and nothing, nothing, happened to the top dogs in the CIA. More minions? The head of intel agencies can lie, perjure themselves before congress and nothing, nothing, happens.

IMO, the deep state, or the older term, the powers that be, consist of the MINSS, as mentioned above, the puppets who serve them, but who also serve our rarified elites, who own the MNCs and big banks, which have relations with the military industrial complex, which insures our tax dollars keep flowing like water to the Dept. of War. Or as Gen. Butler said, in his book, War is a Racket. So this stuff is not knew, you just ignore it. IMO.

In case you did not pay attention, Trump ran into deep dodo, when his foreign policy, which he ran on, was not neoconish. He wanted to normalize if possible relations with russia, stop invading and nation building, and use our treasure to rebuild this nation. You did not listen to what he campaigned on, obviously. And this deep state and obama people in high positions in the CIA, FBI and NSA came after him, in a soft coup, helped on the side lines by democrats in congress. And probably some republicans too, who were neocons, and neoliberals. Slave labor globalists. This is what VIPS believed happened. And Ray McGovern who founded VIPS, and William Binney, are not conservative republicans. lol These guys are two of the few actual real progressive and liberals left in DC. SO of course you would not recognize what they are. Today dems are not at all concerned about much of anything but partisanship.

While my answer is factual, yours added nothing to the conversation.

Do you honestly think that even if Trump gets his wall and other measures he will sign DACA? The answer is no and it's clear that his base doesn't want him to.

I'm not his base and I don't want him to sign it. Unlike the left here, I want illegals deported. Unlike the right here, I want America well and truly put first, and in that vein I want our overseas bases closed and our foreign aid cut.

Yes, I will walk it back but how would it apply to a completely factual statement from the WH?

Hey I think me and you can find some common ground, you sound reasonable. I don't want out of control illegal immigration either but I understand the situation with the dreamers is unique. 100% agree on making the global empire smaller. Trump plans to dramatically increase military and spending.

If Trump actually cared about America first on day 1 he would make sure not a single vet was homeless on the street

The fact are on my side, not yours. Of course, you would never look for nor accept the facts. Your partisanship has rendered you brain dead. I have credible, experienced, retired CIA and NSA folks on my side. You have nothing ,except a disconnected from reality belief, created by your emotion driven partisanship. It has destroyed any intelligence you may have one had.

Yes, I honestly think he would, and I think most Republicans would probably be okay with such a compromise. Whether his hardcore base wants him to is another question.

On the other hand, I honestly don't think Democrats will offer the wall, an end to chain migration and other measures in return for DACA, and we all know their base doesn't want them to, either.

Yes EO's signed by Presidents that admit 18 times that they dont have the authority to do so are unique.. By allowing this to continue to give the green light for another President to do similar.

That is describing the OP in a pretty harsh way but sorry the Hatch act was brought up by the OP i suggest you review the forum rules for posting. If you dont want to discuss the Hatch Act dont post in the thread.

Folly. There is no rose colored filter thick enough extant in the known world that could improve the optics of deporting those that came here as children. It won't happen.
