This judge referred to Manafort's fraud as if the judge already believes that Manafort is guilty. The question is not whether Manafort is guilty or not it is whether the Mueller team has a right to investigate Manafort.

The Mueller team did say that there are national security issues here so this judge appears to be blindly pro Trump for some reason.

That would better be said as 'blindly following the rule of law'. As an aside, the entire stated reason for the Trump immigration proposal was national security and that didn't slow the activist judges in that case in the least.

So this pro Trump judge decides that Mueller is trying to oust Trump.
That is an irresponsible statement for this judge to make since this judge has no evidence that Mueller is trying to "oust" Trump.

And then there were 9 that threw out what those appellate courts had ruled. The 9th blows by the way. You seem to be a fanboy though.

I just don't see what the big deal is in letting Mueller finish his investigation. He's done a pretty good job so far. Good enough for me that I vote to have him investigate other things next whether that be Clinton, FISA abuses, or whatever. I don't really care; anything to drain the swamp because Trump is doing a lousy job at it.

So, given you standard, since Mueller has "no evidence" against trump, he should be shut down, right?

I fear Mr. TLegal is a tad full of himself. First YOU do not get to declare who is and is not a troll and second, my opinion on the 9th circuit is every bit as valid as yours on anything else...

"You don't really care about Mr. Manafort's bank fraud," District Judge T.S. Ellis said to prosecutor Michael Dreeben, at times losing his temper. Ellis said prosecutors were interested in Manafort because of his potential to provide material that would lead to Trump's "prosecution or impeachment," Ellis said.

    "This statement is interesting". WTH???

This is not a guest , on a talk show, giving his " take"; this is the FEDERAL JUDGE, PRESIDING IN THE MANAFORT CASE.

He has the power to THROW OUT THE ENTIRE CASE.

This is MONUMENTAL...especially his view of the MOTIVATIONS behind the Witch Hunt.

That was absolutely A SHOT FIRED ACROSS THE BOW of the Witch Hunt.

This is likely the first notes of the Death Knell for the Grand Inquisitor's FIASCO...the prosecution is falling all over itself at this point.

Looks like Mueller's prize catch is about to be set free because of the corrupt way Mueller has exceeded his authority with his inquisition.

By going outside of the four corners of the order. SCOTUS will see it differently.

Possibly. I rather hope that it is not, and that said judge continues to light up the Mueller camp, and eventually present a number of contempt of court filings to lash Mueller with.

    Shame on you!
It is very important that we all pretend not to know that the NSA has a record all electronic communications. ;-)

“The E.F.F. has released a timeline of N.S.A. domestic spying, tracing the increasing surveillance of American citizens in the fearful years following 9/11. But mass surveillance systems operated by the U.S. and certain of its allies were in place and operating long before 2001. For example, the Guardian reported in May of 2001 that the European Parliament had advised the use of encryption for sensitive communications owing to its investigation of the Echelon surveillance system, a network of intercept stations first set up in the Cold War. In its report, the parliamentary committee claimed in no uncertain terms that the Echelon network was being used to intercept private and business communications, not only military ones. As an epigraph to the report, the committee chose a phrase from Juvenal, “Sed quis custodiet ipsos custodes.” (“But who will watch the watchers.”)”

I am not sure that is true. Was the Judge looking at the entire case against Manafort or only a specific charge or so?

He is the PRESIDING JUDGE...in the courtroom, in a trial situation, he is THE LAW.

I love how the desperate, TDS left thinks that pretending this is not HUGE, is going to , somehow, mitigate it.

Getting a conviction on Manafort just got a LOT HARDER for the Witch Hunt, even as the Flynn case in UNDER JUDICIAL REVIEW, after the Witch Hunt judge who took his plea, QUIT THE CASE, AND HEADED FOR THE HILLS, as soon as the Grand Inquisitor coerced Flynn's plea.

To pretend that the Witch Hunt is not being CONFRONTED WITH JUDICIAL CONSTERNATION requires the Reality Disconnect that is endemic to the Left.

Mueller and his ilk are the minions of a corrupt criminal enterprise, The Deep State.
And the Deep State is beginning to look like Ozymndias. ;-)

That's how you take down mobsters. You threaten the little fish with prosecution so they will flip on the bigger fish. This is done every day, and the judge knows that.

    So?

I have to admit. That sounds bad. I'm no expert, but that certainly makes it sound like prosecutors don't actually care about his bank fraud changes. They just want to use him as a legal pawn to get Trump. The guy sounds like dirtbag to me, but he's still entitled to due process.

    Mueller doesn't care about Manafort.

Mueller's goal is to act as a firewall replacement of Comey. Mueller is there to create a smoke screen.

The Uranium One legal jeopardy for both Mueller and Rosenstein is extensive.

There is no statute of limitations with regards to § 50.111 as related to Section 223 of the NRC codes.

Mueller and Rosenstein were both extensively involved in illegally hiding information about Russian bribery crimes during the Obama years.
