There are NUMEROUS other candidates who have beliefs similar to Kavenaugh.

There just isn't any justification for anointing a GOP hatchet man and liar to the SCOTUS.

And, the fact that our unindicted co-conspirator president nominated someone who believes the US president is above all law is just plain disgusting.

Yes, but it was really CS what McConnell did to Garland. Also, Kavanaugh would never be confirmed if he needed 60 votes. I hope he is impeached in 2021 and replaced by Garland. If elections allow that to happen, I am sure you won't mind.

As for Garland, there was precedent set (by Democrats) of not bringing a SC nominee up for debate when he was nominated in the final year of a Presidency. So you can stop that whining.

As for 60 votes............thank Harry Reid.

    Oops!

Well champ, the old sword cuts both ways so I know you won't mind when it works against you. The Democrats have always played softball and tried to be fair. It is about time they get down and dirty if and when they get back in power. We will see soon. If the Dems get the congress back in November you can bet they will impeach and investigate the hell out of Trump and any other sleazy Republicans right until the 2020 election....Precedent, you know and who knows, they might get ahold of some of those documents Kavanaugh's buddy has been hiding from the Senate and impeach his ass for lying under oath. Turnabout is fair play. Politics has become a dirty turd fight and you get what you get these days. Stay tuned, we will know a lot the day after the November elections and if the Dems win, it's game on.

Ok. I'm having an excellent time watching the meltdown on the left over this. I'll take my chances of this coming up in 2023 during Trump's final year.

The only meltdown I see is occurring every day on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It's like a Marx Brothers movie. Never a dull moment. Stay tuned and buckle your seat belts...

Trump couldn't get a plurality against Hillary Clinton!!!

    Trump's approval is going down.

The cases against Trump and his cabal are increasing, not decreasing as more of his guys plead guilty.

His own people are talking about the chaos and dysfunction in the White House.

And, YOU are talking about another term??

Yes, that was a miracle of a shockingly close margin in a few states that are traditionally more Dem than that.

The thing that's shocking is that you don't believe the Republican party can find a candidate better than this clown.

    You should be looking.

None of which implicate Trump in any collusion with Russia.

Requiring a photo ID is not an unreasonable burden.

It's moving right along. It took 6 years before they exposed Clinton and over 5 before they nailed Nixon. I think Mueller will drop the hammer on Trump later this year and if the GOP doesn't hold the house, look out! I love seeing big shots nailed to the wall, humiliated and slapped down. This is great entertainment in my book. I remember listening to a transistor radio while hanging drywall in a 400 unit apartment building when Nixon was getting nailed and I never laughed so hard when I heard about Clinton, Monica, the blue dress and the cigar. Here we go again! It makes waking up in the morning that much more special for a guy like me. This is truly a great country dispite some of the scumbags that ooze into office. Sit back and enjoy the show. It is really getting good. Cheers

ID requirements have been used by many states to limit access to voting by minority citizens and others that the party in power doesn't want to vote.

In my state, there is NO voter ID requirement. It is TOTALLY unnecessary.

It can't be a "reasonable burden" if there is NO REASON.

Why do you think minorities are inferior? Do you consider them too dumb to get an ID? That seems rather racist to me.

Minorities aren't necessarily distinguished by race.

The fact of the matter is that wage earners have greater difficulty in time and transportation for meeting the arbitrary nonsense. Plus, lower income groups are known to have less access to notifications of shifting ID requirements and their deadlines.

Plus, these shifting requirements get bolstered by other changes, such as elimination of polling places, changing locations of polling places, unequal distribution of voting equipment (leading to long lines ins some places while other places have no lines), distribution of sites where new forms of ID may be obtained, etc., etc.

The bottom line is that there is NO REASON for these impediments to voting. They are maintained for one reason only - to ensure disproportionate representation.

Specify what minorities you were referencing.
