Trump has followed thru with a program against ISIS that was started & organized by Obama before Trump became President. Yes, it's been successful in regaining territories under ISIS control, but still has a long way to go before eliminating or final victory against ISIS itself. Trump's declaration of victory over ISIS was premature.

As an American, & growing up under the Constitution, which acknowledges human rights & guarantees trial by jury for those accused of crimes, Gitmo is a standing symbol of America's failure to live up to its own hallowed standards. However, those incarcerated at Gitmo who actually are dedicated terrorists would kill more innocents if released. . .thus the quandary. I have little concern for those at Gitmo who are actually terrorists, but I do have concerns for those incarcerated at Gitmo who might be innocents picked up by American forces who were innocent but happened to be in the wrong area at the wrong time when the sweep was made to arrest them. I know that has happened.

 

I don't know who are the desperate liberal's. Most Trumpsters seem to be neo liberals. Not that long ago, maybe a bit over a hundred and 30 years or so but of course we have not changed, we have just stopped, apart from the US being Christian in the main and look who wants to be ruler of the world, who is continuing Regime change ignoring international law, the US followed by half of Europe. Nothing has changed, except less is said about Christianity though I know it is very strong in the US and I know they hate Muslims. There is something weird about Christian or white thinking. In Memories, Dreams and Reflections, Carl Jung speaks about his meeting with the Pueblo Indians who told him they thought they white man was mad. Jung asked why they thought that and they told him that they say they think with their heads. Jung asked what they thought with and they clasped their heart. Jung said after that he never thought of Western civilisation in the same way...and so we have the US only a few years before disaster is certain and when it could happen any time, saying to hell with 'climate disaster' and with that almost certainly leaving no world for their grandchildren. Without question the Pueblo Indians were correct.
