Rarely watch it myself... Sometimes when there is a really boring host or segment on MSNBC or on some weekends, I flip over to see if anything is going on... never more than 20 mins at a time... They just don't have the quality of on-air talent they do on MSNBC...

Enjoy it while you can. Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox News) is busy selling off his assets and getting ready to hand over the remaining to his sons - one of which is a climate change advocate.

The loss of viewers eventually led to ESPN cutting people loose, CNN can't be far behind.

They can "report" on anything they want. Their viewers also have the right to turn them off.
    What determines their advertising rates?

I spent time in Europe before we started the Iraq War and after we had started it.

What was particularly startling was how much different the press coverage of the Bush Administration's campaign for their war. l At home, the media roared with fearmongering, and jingoism, and Fox led the parade. Elsewhere, the alarmist claims that came out of the mouths of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Pearle, Kristol and others was openly ridiculed. Claims were debunked within hours. People felt that we were betraying our obligations as a world leader.

Not when you have your own cartoon "news" network, or as Trump would call it, the Ministry of Propoganda.

x1000 in the Era of Trump.

Still, I can see why the RW is constantly attacking CNN.

Sort of like the Titanic attacking an Iceberg.

The world is always interested in what's going on in the US so it's natural that Americans would be also. It must be the most discussed nation on earth, with everyone having an opinion..

I thing the phrase "Far Superior" is a long streeeeetch but, CNN is truly a joke. At least folks like Tucker will regularly have "contestants" that have completely opposite and opposing viewpoints. It is actually quite entertaining and borderline informative - God forbid !

That said - Fox is not "News" it is editorial for the most part. This is the same issue over at CNN "the most trusted source of News" that is not news :) While Fox commentators are regularly guilty of the "Sin of Omission" - not giving the other side of the story - at CNN the "Sin of Omission" is a religion .. same with MSNBC.

It is far superior because of the points you've made, Brett Baier is straight news while Neil Cavuto can take it down the middle and others, with the possible exception of Hannity, have opposing views, as you say.. Its reached the point where if you're not anti Trump 24/7 then you're guilty of right wing propaganda.

It is mostly news with some editorial. Spent several days watching each network on and off between work and Fox, by far, is the less opinionated and hateful than the rest. They have editorial right wing shows but they also have left wing news and opinions as well. CNN is a joke, though. We can agree on that.

It seems they lack any sense of self awareness. Can't they watch this example, a not unusual happening, and pause for a moment to reconsider their position? When does pride kick in?

I don't know. Jeff Zucker doesn't need the money so expect he just believes and has the power to broadcast those beliefs.

A lot of these people can have all the education in the world, all the talent, makes tons of money and yet still be empty. I doubt it would be any better or worse if Barbra Streisand was the Chief Executive,

The only channel the right has is FAUX.
While the rest of the country has several options.
This is also why you only get one point of view from the right.

    Exactly.

Just an Echo Chamber (with no other option).

And obviously, as many have already pointed out, Faux is NOT "News".

Anyway, back to the OP, CNN will always be there. :flagus:
